BIOWARE, it's 2010, players should have a same-sex romance option.

I'm sorry, forgive me for being ignorant, but do you currently have a girlfriend right now? Didn't think so. Let's move on.

That aside - you guys know that by creating these threads over and over you annoy a lot of people who then come into these threads to come and flame you, which pisses you off which causes the thread to be locked. Then you create a new one which pisses someone off which then goes.....you see where this is going ?

Some ppl simply don't know when to ignore. But then again the same thing can be said about you.

If we hate flamers so much, we should've ignored them altogether and stayed on topic; if you hate threads like these so much, you should've simply ignored it. Enough said.

hrrrm i'm with bioware on this one. for whatever reason, they chose not to make shep ******/bisexual in the first game (discounting the "alien" loophole) so it wouldn't really make sense from a narrative standpoint to suddenly have this become a preference. it worked really well in dragon age, and i'm happy they were able to implement it in that game, but personally don't see how it could work in mass effect at this point and be believable.

Best thing you can make is to keep it for yourself, your boyfriend AND the people you want to know.

Absolutely. Why do heterosexuals insist on flaunting their straightness?

Hmm... Lets see here... Because its normal?

Hmm...to Alan, let's see, why damn you care about it?

And BTW, never in my life I've seen people "flaunting their straightness" as here in Spain I see people "flaunting their gayness" every damn day.

Gay scene is exagerating every day, and by far. I repeat, I'm gay and I'd like to see a same-sex relationship in the game, but man, it looks like well as if your lifes will end if Bioware doesn't include it!

Exactly! You don't see a straight parade, now do you?

Straight people aren't opressed and don't need to fight for acceptance =/

Not to mention your clearly going off huge stereotypes. There are straight sterepotypes too but I don't go around telling every straight guy I meet to go watch foozeball, have a beer a leave me the **** alone.

You get romance options whether same sex are in-game or not and you obviously can't argue your point constructively, so why not just leave the thread?

Yup. I'm against them (gay parades), too. But not for the same reasons as you.

You know, I've a VERY STRAIGHT friend who I came out many years ago, and he said it didn't matter at all to him. When I asked him "Why?", he just replied: "Because I'm so sure I'm straight, and that I like woman that I don't feel attacked by your sexual preferences. If you don't feel attacked by something, you don't turn violent against it, either. It's basic human psicology".

So, morality of this is that probably you're a gay-in-denial. So go and see a damn psiquiatrist that helps you and leave the rest of us in peace, thanks. It's the best for your mental integrity, too.

Whose to say any of the other characters are homosexual?

What if they're all straight?

The gay party line is that everyone is gay - they just haven't realized it yet.

There's a gay party? WHERE!?! Oh gay people throw the BEST parties! Seriously, you know nothing about gays/lesbians or people. Please do not pretend you do.

I wonder if the cheaters statistic is going to be much lower than they though it would be because of this.

HOWEVER!!!!!! If you people just realized that the devs are not going to put in homos in Mass Effect, us "flamers" wouldn't have to be bothered by your flaunting for gayness. Also, funny how one of the nicknames for gays are flamers... irony!

That's a lame excuse.  If a Shepard did not romance anybody in ME, it would not be unrealistic for him to romance a man in ME2.

My FemShep loved Liara, she had a female body so my FemShep loves female bodies, so she is at least bisexual. How couldn`t that work?

@CommanderShepard2183

I can`t see how this question has anything to do with this topic.

I'm shocked, another same sex romance thread!

I'm not against homosexuality by any means, but these threads are getting old really fast. It's not in the game, and I highly doubt they're going to use the resources to go back and adjust it to make it possible for a small minority of players that want it. It's time to get over it already.

Whether or not it works is largely dependent on whether or not you MAKE it work.

If there are no homosexual characters out there, make one. Why is it that a seemingly modern concept will work in a fantasy RPG set in the middle age and not work in a sci-fi RPG set in the future is beyond me.

So's being gay. It's occurred in all cultures, in all times, and even occurs in many animal species (just in case you were about to play some sort of "original sin" card. Or are you using some sort of secret definition of normal? If so, could you please provide it?

I wouldn't mind lesbians but male on male? thats just gay. lol

Anyways, Bioware know what they are doing. If they don't do it, its for a good reason.

Repetitive thread is repetitive. While I think it would be good for BW to put homosexuality into ME, I'm not offended that they dont. Paly DA:O.

Nobody is saying they HAVE to do it.  We are saying they SHOULD do it.  ME's gay fans are no more arrogant that Tail/Garrus fans.

They also aren't obliged to exclude it in spite of that minority. It's already been in the game. For those who don't see Liara as being actually female, it doesn't matter, her race was created specifically to be discount lesbians, the same way the Drell only exist to be a Malien romance option(which several devs have been quoted as sating.).

ok, ok - so your saying they should do it. So your dozen or so threads have been locked, which means that someone who locked all of them saw that they *should* put in gay romance in the next ME. That means your point has been brought across successfully - HOORAY no more threads.

This thread  is about the merits of having a same-sex romance option in ME games.

Please refrain from general discussions about homosexuality and/or religion.  Thank you.

This makes about as much sense as talking about who should be elected president in 2012 but asking people to refrain from bringing politics into the discussion.  The presidency is inherently a political issue.

Likewise, human sexuality is a moral, and therefore religious, issue.

BioWare, do NOT bend to the whims of these liberal activists who want to exploit your fine product for their own political agenda.

We're getting off-topic again. Please stop. And, as others mentioned before, these topics keep appearing because contentious individuals derail the threads, causing the devs to lock them down... and then, voila!, a new one pops up. So, really guys. If you don't like these threads, joining them is the last thing you want to do.
