BIOWARE, it's 2010, players should have a same-sex romance option.

Do you honestly care more about the realationship part of the game over the story and gameplay? Not saying that's a bad thing, it just doesn't seem to be a big part of the game.
It's not a question of more or less, the romances help to give an even more personal feeling to the squadmates and the story as a whole. They increase immersion and that makes the rest of the game seem richer.

Ack, no, I don't want NPCs sexual identities to flip flop around depending on the PCs preference. It is cool to have gay/lesbian/or bi characters but the gender flags show the characters preference and add a layer of realism to the character.
Easy fix to that: say, if you are playing a girl, Jacob is straight, if a guy then Jacob is bi/gay.Anywho, I have a question for everyone, if you had to pick 1 character to be bi/gay/lesbian who would it be and why?
Why just one? There is six love interests in the game. I say there would be two same sex romances per gender.
Scarcity my friend, if you have a dollar you can only buy a coke or a pepsi, you can't buy both. I just want to see which character is everyone's favorite from a romance perspective and by limiting options people use more logic and emotion than they would if they could have everything.

I would rather shoot for the stars and hit the sky. As for my choices, in order to list them I would have to put in spoilers (that everyone knows already), and in respect for the devs I will reframe from doing so. However, I would say that I would choose from the current pool of six choices, and that I think each gender should have one alien and one human same sex romance (hense why I would want two instead of one).

That's kind of the point of what she's saying. They COULD have invested differently, but they didn't.Lord Atlia wrote...

Are you talking about me. Because I'm a guy. Anyway, like I said before I would want two per genders so that we could have a choice between an alien and a human.

For those of you who haven't seen it yet there is a cool maybe real maybe fake link in the new thread about Katsumi. If it turns out to be real, she oughta be awesome.
I saw this as well.. I dunno what to think of it, I want to lean toward it being fake... but it did look pretty cool, even though it sorta looked like something taken from tali and photoshopped to be human. hmm...

Bioware, don't give in and make BS politically correct videogames. Please just make a game with a good story like you've always done
Even if it happens to include characters with diverse sexual preferences!

Exactly. I could give a rat's ass about politically correctness. This game pretty much sells itself on 'MAKE YOUR OWN CHOICES, BE YOUR OWN CHARACTER, CHANGE THE WORLD AROUND YOU'. All that we're asking is that we be allowed to do that. If I want to make a gay MaleShep, I should be able to do that and have options to go with that sexuality.

So invest in your gaming development company and create an RPG exactly the way you want it. Otherwise, learn to be content with what Bioware has decided to give you, or refuse to give them money (which would speak much louder than simply posting on a forum).

No, I don't think they have.
