To be completely truthful I really wanted two things to happen in ME2: F/F romance and a romance with Joker. So, I get the game and I find out neither is possible, this disappoints. From what Suze said in dialog once I thought I could romance her, and she would have been my first choice, but alas.
I don't understand why having a same sex romance is such a problem. It's like the creators tried to duck controversy by making Suze not romanceable by women at the last moment. I'm not saying you should be able to romance anyone period, but the creators could have easily made an option, at least one for each gender, of same sex romance. They program the characters, they decide which way they swing.
After all there are 15 million people in the US who identify themselves at LGBT, and about 30 million who experience attractions to the same sex. BioWare hopes to identify with the younger crowd, because admittedly most gamers are under the age of forty, and this, this is the demographic that's most in tune with their sexuality and would like to see a same sex romance option.
Don't cut us off like that, please BioWare. It wouldn't be hard to release as a DLC or as part of ME3.
As far as the sex scenes go I can understand that the creators were simply trying to avoid a ****storm from FOX and parents of teens who somehow get the game, but was it really necessary to reduce some romances to just a kiss? My most viable romance option is just that, and I'm disappointed. No nudity =/= no sex.
