To all the people out there complaining about these threads: If you don't like so many of them popping up maybe you should do yourselves a favor and stop trolling in them to get them locked in the first place. We would have been happy with having only one thread but you morons keep derailing it.

That's hardly fair. Some of us (very few mind you) have in fact responded in a civilized manner merely pointing out that perhaps the group would be better for discussion as it would lack trolls and people pointing out they hate these threads.

I'm straight (well I'm pretty sure I am anyways) - and I have nothing against having a gay romance in game or real life. I merely wish to see the clutter on these boards cut down - this includes repetitive threads of Tali/Garrus romance as well as the same sex threads. The groups provide a troll free enviroment where one can engage in friendly discussion with like minded individuals about topics such as this very one we are in right now.

I liked the way DAO did the homosexuality thing..because it is quite easy to play that game for hundreds of hours and not even know there was an option to have gay relations. yeah i think i remember being nice to morrigan in order to have a romance with her, until zevran came along and started dishing out the complements. i'll take flattery over exposed cleavage and back handed niceties anyday.

Has there been any further confirmation of Kasumi as a character because Zaeed is lame and it's the best shot we have at getting a bi character in game.

In the long run, what the hell does it really matter? Sexual orientation doesn't define a person, nor should it have any signifcant bearing in the story of Mass Effect 2. The love interest is a minimal part of the story at best. Go watch porn if you're that hard up to see some gay sex.

Your argument is more a justification for inclusion of gay romance options until the ignorance of the last sentence.

Kelly chambers seems to be the best chance at even a bone being thrown pre-dlc.

Your defense is disturbing. I thought the gay community wanted to be treated "equally"? You're basically telling this man that it actually does matter what a persons sexual orientation is and that it does define a person. Which, as far as I'm concerned, is sexist. The kind that doesn't mean gender.

A fundamentally flawed argument in that I didn't actually say anything, I was pointing out what you said. Sexism also has nothing to do with orientation, attempting to redefine it does not change that. 

Have you noticed how many broken bases have resulted because of this game so far?

ME1 Lovers Vs. ME1 hater(who are actually less civil then we are)
Shooter Vs. RPG
Old exploration lovers vs Haters
Vehicle lovers vs. vehicle haters.

That's not even talking about individual characters.

Yes, but when gay people do it they're 'whiners' who 'think they're entitled'. I'd love to see the reaction on the forums if all hetero romances were left out.

This is usually not such a big topic for me. While I'd enjoy a romantic storyline that didn't have to do with a bunch of Romeo and Juliet types - I can live without it. As I've stated before - my Shepard is a loner, gay, badass. Like Hendel from the books.



With all the lockdowns - I'm a little irritated. If it were really about "keeping the peace" then bigots should be banned - instead, people asking to be recognized through a video game they are paying for - are being marginalized.



Bioware - you're a great company. I will support you and your games because they are quality. But, if you want me to keep buying your products (and that's up to you) then as a consumer I suggest:



--- You no longer declare any further characters as "yours". I'm buying your product. The game - is mine. The character - becomes mine. I've read time and again how "You become Shepard and decide the fate of the universe." Well, in no universe do I EVER want to be straight.



So, please state clearly any future games you intend to be forcing a static mode of play. I will steer clear of those. As it is, I enjoy Shepard - and I'll play him without a significant amount of game content. But, I'll be sure not to enjoy future characters and storylines that have nothing to do with me.
