Does the Incendiary ammo glitch affects the SP campaign?

Hiya! I'm a little bit worried about using Incendiary ammo (my favourite of all time) in my next ME3 playthought, as I kinda don't like glitches and unfair advantages (I wouldn't use glitches on purpose, but I could run into them unwillingly), and I know about that Incendiary ammo glitch that occurs in MP matches. Does anybody knows if that glitch also affects the SP campaign? I couldn't find any info about that :(

Also, is it a ME3 bug, or does it affect ME2, too?

Thx for the replies!

Quickly glanced the topic, and I think the bug would be in SP too.

Easily avoided though: don't use Warp.

Next thing you'll be telling me is to stop breathing...

Might be difficult if playing an Adept or Sentinel, but if not you shouldn't even notice it.

Even if you use Liara all the time.

Is Warp the only power that triggers the bug?

I'll be playing Soldier so no problems there...

IA stacks with itself more than it should--no warp needed. Even a pure weapons-based kit not using any powers at all will be considered "cheesing it" with IA equipped.

I just started a new SP recently and I did notice I was killing Brutes pretty damn fast with James' squad IA. Well, I was also using the Piranha as well...the power creep of MP weapons into SP is just ridiculous BTW.

With itself? So only using IA would trigger it?

Also, does this bug affects ME2? Although I'll probably be already switching to Disruptor/Cryo Ammo in ME2 already most surely...:P

Stacking with itself would be working as intended, I suppose.

Yes, the way IA stacks with itself was unexpected even by BW. From page 7 of the linked thread, an excerpt of a PM from BW:

"..So I went ahead and dug deeper into this. ... It looks like you're right, incendiary ammo in particular is stacking in a way with itself that exceeds the expected."

Yes IA by itself does more damage than expected. It's pretty devastating with certain weapons like the Reegar and PPR, etc.

Not sure about ME2, but IA there was also the best choice in most situations.

Nah, I'll surely change it for either Armor-Piercing or Warp ammo, even if that means sacrificing Energy Drain as Shep's bonus power. Probably Warp, cos it seems the most versatile of all (amazing HP/Armor/Barrier damage, which only leaves Shields to worry about...and that's nothing Disruptor Ammo, the Acolyte or even squadmate powers can't manage).

In MP I would typically go for AP since there's so many armored boss units on Gold/Plat, and rely on powers or Acolyte to strip shields/barriers, but in SP Warp may be more versatile I agree.

And by the way, I feel you about exploiting glitches--but sometimes it's more important to just have fun. IA is pretty fun when things get set on fire; the DOT can elicit some unexpected behavior on some enemy units as well (phantoms, nemesis, etc.). Try it once at least I say.

When my vanguard Shepard went to the Ardat-Yakshi monastery, I took Kaidan and Garrus along equipped with PPR's and squad incendiary ammo.  During the final battle in the room with the bomb, I charged/nova'd the three husks to death, looked around, and my squad had already killed one of the two banshees.  I don't think that's possible without the glitch.

I've already decided to use AP ammo on ME2, as in that part of the trilogy I'll be more of a lone wolf (literally in Arrival), and Warp ammo in ME3, where I'll rely more on squad powers. Their damage bonuses are better than Incendiaries anyway...

I think you should have a vote on it.
