I'd probably also need a monitor capable of displaying 1080p, as well as a graphics card that had the capability, right?

Not at all worth the cost, since what I'm seeing looks good, anyway...

My PC was 50 dollars USD and it could run 1080p so if you think that 1080p (which is 1k resulotion) is not worth the money might wana think again. In addition seeing videos at 60fps (whether in 720 or 1080) just requires a good internet connection.

Hands down, it is beautiful. I have a wish list for a monster PC in the future.

My GTX 980 G1 just showed up on my doorstep.  Wasn't supposed to be here till Thursday :)

Thing is massive.

Maybe it's just because I'm not used to games over 30fps, but the 60fps video felt a bit disorienting to me? I'm not saying it looked bad, but I feel like I'd end up getting nauseous after a while :/

It is a different experience. Might look a bit weird for TV dramas, but generally when running a game the result is that your controls and movements feel more responsive.

Here is another one, however, the bitrate seems a bit low. Perhaps there is there a higher quality version somewhere...

The gameplay looks awesome.

Although I'm all good with locked 30, which is definitely better than occasionally hitting 60 but having frame dips every now and then. It would undoubtedly be better at locked 60, but that's a little harder to achieve with the funds I have.

Some new 60fps videos:

TehNevs has recorded a few using the fix to unlock cutscene frame rate. Unfortunately, no FRAPS, so not quite sure if he had steady 60fps, appears to be a little laggy in some spots.

Here is a new one, unfortunately cutscenes are 30fps, but other parts seem rather steady 60fps:

Max settings except for MSAA disabled:

i7 4790K @4.5GHz
MSI GTX 980 4GB
16GB DDR3 @1600MHz
2560x1440 resolution

Nice vids. Cool that YouTube got that option up.

Yes if you've never used a pc for gaming the difference is quite big between the two.

Cost wise isn't as bad as you think.
