Gollum arms are present in every female Inquisitor. Even the Qunari female Inquisitor's arms about the same size as the human male ones.

For the elves, the Gollum effect applies to both the arms and the body.

For reference, here is Gollum in his glory:-

I've taken a look at the video and honestly; the Elf looks fine and very natural. Granted the arms look a little awkward when in motion, especially considering how fast he's moving his arms, but when he's standing still his physique is pretty much identical to mine and the majority of North-Western Europeans for that matter.

I've seen people call the Elf "Anorexic, looking like a 15 year old and as having muscular atrophy," which is a little insulting, considering the fact that I and many others look just like said Elf, and I can tell you that I 'ain't skippin' no meals. But let's put that aside, because I'm sure that wasn't intentionally insulting! :P

I'm very happy to have a character that's just plain slim, more so because I always create characters resembling myself, so!

I'm kind of curious if the people who find male Elves excessively skinny are predominantly from North America. Not because LOLMURRICANSRFAT but because your average American has a somewhat chunkier, bigger build than North-West European. Oh well. Like others have said before me, there's always Humans!

I actually hadn't noticed it on any of the other races, but in contrast to Solas and Sera's models:

Their models are what I would call slim, but by comparison the PC looks pretty skinny. Not that that's a bad thing, as there probably are players who wish to play as such. And I'm glad they didn't over-buff the models, but I wish they had gone with something more akin to these two.

Oh by the way with the elven video , when they said the lightning was fine in the CC ...they sort of lied.

In the Hinterland the elf looks like he has some kind of neon lightning make up.

Ok the make up was horrible in the CC but it just get worst once outside.

My gut reaction was that they were a bit too skinny but then I looked at my own arms and I don't think I'm in any position to judge

I will play as a male elf regardless of the disproportionately thin arms (the thighs look fine, it's just the arms really).  Sometimes I want to play as a thinner gentleman, yeah?  There's nothing wrong with that.  I do understand why some might not want to, I just personally like to play as "not buff guy" when I can.  There seems to be an abundance of idealizing the more muscular body types for males in video games and I sort of get sick of seeing men with the same defined builds.  :/

While I'm also tired of the saturated "LOOK AT ME MOOSLES" character models,

you have to admit that those arms don't belong to a healthy person.

There's thin, and then there's "possibly has been sick for a long time."

Wow, yeah. Their models look healthy. That kinda begs the question why elf inquisitor looks so funny.

The image of my perfect male elf is beginning to shatter. After watching that vid I have to admit he does look a bit underfed especially compared to Solas. Sigh...why didn't they just keep the overall look of the Origins elves bodies but made them taller.

The inquisitor and Solas look pretty similar to me, arms-wise. There's multiple instances in the video where they do their attacks together, so they're easy to compare in the same poses and such. If there's slight difference it seems mostly a result of clothing models -- the vest the inquisitor is wearing is... weird around the chest area, and Solas' garb doesn't cover the arms as tightly.

I think it's less that he's skinny, and more that his shoulders are unusually narrow which gives him a much younger appearance. I'm fine with that though it'll be something new :D

I just wish Qunari women had thick muscular arms :(

For a short moment I thought it was a femquisitor because I thought she had breasts. (!!)

The armour definitely gives him a funny appearance.

I have to disagree, look at solas

solas-screenshot2.jpgHe has more girth in his upper body compared to the inquisitor.

If you take another look at the video and pauze at the right moments between 10:30 - 10:45 you'll notice that there indeed isn't much of a difference with Solas' arms compared to the Inquisitor's.

Cassandra didn't seem to have big arms either I noticed.

That's why I mentioned the video. Appearance can differ quite a bit depending on the angle and such. Here's a --unfortunately blurry-- shot of Solas from the same point of view we got for the inquisitor, and note the difference doesn't seem as pronounced in it:

lol i won't lie, the opening shot made me think the same for a moment:

I think Solas is wearing some leather armor + a big wool sweater +his small jacket.

Merrill looked alright in her armor in DA2 , the problem was when she took it off for the love scene.

I think depending on what the elves are wearing it's going to be alright.

Well not in Skyhold ,but I saw some picture of the male human Inquisitor in the casual outfit , and I didn't think he looked good either.

Big arm Big Shoulders smallish waist...he looked like Ken on steroid.

Again, that's different poses and angles. Arm straight out vs bent, left vs right. But compare the inquisitor in your shot with the thickness of Solas' left arm in the shot from the video above, and it's not too far off.

Yes, there *is* some difference between them, but what I'm saying is, it seems that difference is mostly due to what each of them is wearing. Odds are there's going to be outfits for the male elf inquisitor that will make him match Solas' appearance.
