So I was just curious, is this or could this be an option? I've always purchased bioware games, but now with full-on nudity, i'm kind of concerned about being able to filter it out. I have a no nudity policy with the wife (I know this may not make sense to everyone, but it's a choice we are making) and I really don't want to miss out on this.

You probably could avoid romances. I doubt that they will show random nudity. If you avoid the brothel and don't romance anyone, you might be good.

I know it's not ideal, but at least you wouldn't have to miss the whole thing.

Well, it's not supposed to be long lingering full frontal shots.  You'll see some bare breast and some bare butts, but it's not like your going to see details very clearly.  

 

 I wouldn't anticipate any sort of filter for the game, except probably to turn off persistent gore.

 

Also, you might want to invest in some headphones if you're a parent.  One of the LIs flat out says a line to the affect of, "I love watching your t*ts bounce when I pin your arms to the side of the bed."  

 

By the way, good luck.  Expect a lot of folks saying stuff like, "But it's an M-rated game, deal with it!"  <sincere hug>

The only thing that will be shown is butts and boobies. Penises and vaginae will not be shown.

I doubt there will be full on nudity. All I have heard from this is that maybe you'll see more skin than normal from Sera. I doubt this will be worse than Witcher 2 and that had some rather risqué moments.

I saw a fully naked nymph within 3 hours of playing the first Witcher.  Including green pubic hair, which cracked me up.  I doubt we'll see that much in DA:I.

Yeah from the ESRB rating: The game includes some sexual material: a female character briefly depicted in front of a man's torso (fellatio is implied); characters depicted topless or with exposed buttocks while lying in bed or after sex.

 

So no lower genitals or anything, but still more then I am comfortable with. I'm sure it wouldn't be the easiest thing to implement, but i'm sure some parents would like it just in case the kiddos walk in at the wrong time, or for folks like me.

From what I read, it'll show bare breasts, bare butts, supposedly there's a scene with you see the back of a woman's head (who? didn't say), at a man's waistline most likely doing fellatio. There'll be many references to unseen scenes, no doubt 90% are Bull/Dorian related. It won't be Game of Thrones graphic, kinda glad lol... but if you ever saw Terminator, it's likely like that sex scene.

I believe in one of the LadyInsanity YouTube videos she noted that this is the first Bioware game with the actual "nudity" listing next to the M rating, as opposed to "partial nudity".  For reference, Mass Effect 3's rating had "partial nudity" even with Liara's love scene, so take from that what you will.

I'm sorry, but due to the rating of the game, the company is very unlikely to add any sort of nudity filter.   Other games, like the Witcher, don't and they show much more with the same rating.

 

My advice is to not to do any of the romance and/or brothel scenes while the kids are awake.  Otherwise, you're going to have to pass on the game, if it's going to cause tension at home.

It's 99% likely to be occurring in the romances.  I personally haven't had a PC visit a brothel since NWN, so I don't know if there will be nudity there or not.  I don't think we'll be strolling along grabbing loot when the ladies suddenly lose their tops.  

 

Although, that would be a pretty funny bug.  

 

Anyhow, trust your gut.  If you think it's a good idea to hang back and wait, then do that.

Pro Tip:  It's in the "Romance" branches.  Don't get your Inquisitor out on them and you'll probably stay on the right side of your "deal".

It is a M-rated game so it kinda how it goes but even with nudity you can also use the ESC key so.... you really do not need to see it, it is optional.
