Yeah I assumed so, But i've seen exceptions every now and again, like Sunset Overdrive having a language and gore filter. Ah well. :( Maybe i'll wait and see where people can tell me where it's at in the game so I can avoid it.

I know I pre-ordered the guide for the game, so I imagine there'll be descriptions? Hopefully? It's a whopper of a book. Did you pre-order it? You may be able to hold off until some people know...like around Christmas? Also, apparently there is at least one romance that doesn't require sex [if I interpreted Gaider's answer correctly].

It not like a naked body bothers me in a video game.  I was too busy laughing at the wood nymph having pubic hair.

Didn't the first scene in The Witcher 2 have more than two seconds of full frontal female nudity? Are you suggesting that was all of the nudity?

I'm glad that they finally added nudity. I don't see the need to censor anything when you could easily skip it. I personally wouldn't mind Witcher level of nudity for both males and females but T rated work fine, too.

No. It is a kingdom of nudity, or nothing.

You reminded me of an old ad slogan:

It's Nerf, or Nothing.

I notice the op is not asking for a violence filter. So bloody murder accompanied by the gurgling screams of the dying is good, then?

I'm not defending this, but I can give you the answer I've received before.

Violence is easier to explain to kids than sex, and less awkward for the parents, so I've been told.   I'm not a parent, so I can't explain how or why that works.  They don't claim that violence is a good thing, but they have said that it's easier to talk about and deal with than sex.  <shrug>

Ok, not sure how you managed to play the other games with a "no nudity" policy. You just get married, or what? Bare in mind you don't have to answer that. I just find it curious.

As per your question, there is no reason to assume Inquisition would have a filter. No one here can really help you either. We don't know. No one does save for Bioware. All you can do is wait for some time after release when people will know. Then, someone should be able to answer. If it winds up having one, you're set. Otherwise, it's up to you whether you want to risk it. I wouldn't though. Your relationship is more important than a video game. ;)

It's because when someone is being killed you tell the kids - don't do that IRL.

When someone is having sex you go - you could do that.. just not now.. and not sure when, or when is the right time and the right person..

I think violence being easier to explain then sex says more about the person then the topic.

People tend to get hung up more on sex than they do violence.

I'll always be grateful for my parents being so open on the subject & not imparting the same sexual hang ups that a lot of people seem to have

It's thanks to this whole society being so sexually repressed in general. I could go on the longest rant about it.  <_<  That's a totally different topic, however, so I'ma just leave it at that. Glad your parents were more open about it at least. It's actually a disservice to one's child to be incapable of freely discussing something so important. :(

Nudity most likely will only be for romance scenes, where sex is involved, and since those will (probably) be cinematic in nature, my guess is you can press ESC to skip them. Highly doubt we'll see any filter option for nudity within the game, though I think they do have one for gore.

It's incredibly sad that you are willing to miss out on what promises to be an incredible game.... Over some butts and ~dirty pillows~. I mean, the amount of violence and gore within the series isn't enough to push you away, but animated body parts are? Avoiding nudity in general is just really silly to me. You and your wife need to work out some issues, I think.

Also, the DA series already has nudity within it. There is literally a character with like six breasts. How did you manage to get this far?

Funny thing: pretty much every child has seen the funny bits of both genders by age 7 with their own eyes. Bathing and all that.  Most people will never see a person being butchered like an animal by another person in real life.  Yet the latter is...acceptable to explain to a child <.<

I admit to agreeing with you, but we don't know on what conditions they came to such an arrangement. I'd say, if he truly agrees with it, then by all means, he should do what he feels is right. If he's just going along with it to please her, then it sounds like a doomed relationship to me. Either way, he asked if anyone knew if the game would have a nudity filter not for relationship advice. <_<

Heh, dirty pillows. Makes me wanna watch Carrie. ^_^

Well, to be fair there is a filter built into each DA game to deal with blood and gore.

Heh... Well I like to throw out some free advice from time to time. *shrug*

I only say that because my step dad was in a relationship (before meeting my mom) in which both were cut off from any kind of nudity. It ended... poorly. Also it just seems really unhealthy and I'm concerned for the OP.  ^_^

First.... One day as a kid, teen close to 15 I think. Anyways, I came home told my dad about being offered sex with these girls. He said. Go ahead. :P

Now thats out of the way. I can honestly say. Those scenes most likely can be escaped, most likely brief moments. If kids are around, as been said, wait till they go. I would think running around a beach full of bikini people would have more skin time than those scenes. Guessing no beach visits either.

Ex got jealous of pixel women too in past and she oogled live men. That was a nice conversation. :)) Sorry that some cant understand differences but as I mentioned. Should be able to either use escape or a button on controller to bypass scene. Or just avoid romances as another pointed out. Didnt mean to seem mean writing this. I wasnt trying if came cross that way. I been there. ;)

I love how we're still chatting about this long after the OP has gone to bed.  :P

All I know is that during the Super Bowl with the infamous "costume fail" with Janet Jackson, I was the only one that noticed in a room full of guys.  I said, "Hey, it's Janet's boob!"   The guys looked, went, "Huh, okay" and went back to talking about the game.  Suddenly the entire US nation lost their freaking minds over a pastie.

For me, it isn't political correctness.  I'm just not interested in seeing pixalated genitals.  Not that I have anything against those that do, it's just a personal preference.   :)

They cared more about the game and the ladies they can touch than it I guess? Sweet.

There is an anatomically correct horse statue when driving down a highway where I live. Nothing changed many years later. Still there. ;)

By the airport, right?  I think I know where you live, and if I'm wrong, I'm not that far away from a similar statue.  Some ultra conservative folks have been trying to neuter that poor horse for years now.
