Having a character in violent opposition to you also function as an LI would be a pretty tricky nug to wrangle without it being all kinds of ew, so I would imagine.

Just be 100% evil and agree with everything they say.

I would say there's something wrong with it. Not with the fact that there are 'evil' female LIs (even though the ones we've had so far don't really match with what is being requested here), of course, just with the fact that there aren't any male ones. That's rather the point of this thread, in fact.^^

 

I'm not entirely sure why the male LIs are the way they are. It's not just that they aren't evil, it's also that they are very often either 'broken' in some way or shy. There weren't even really any normal good guys so far.

Seems what is meant by "evil" is more like selfish/indifferent. Like say, imo, evil would be wanting everyone to die because it's fun to kill them. While the type of dark character advocates of this sound like they want would be more like "I don't care how many people die so long as I get what I want". Someone who would find a "choose between your LI or a million innocents" dilemma not to be a dilemma at all

 

Or at least that's what I'd like cause I could relate to that

Torturing small animals is useless, it gains one nothing (aside pleasure if they're insane), so it's stupid/crazy evil. Pragmatic and selfish is what I want

Stupid evil is not the only kind of evil.

 

I've played evil characters. They were not kick the puppies for lulz types because it was pointless.

 

They were villians with great publicity. They knew how to smile and be charming but they also had zero remorse or pity for anyone that wasn't themselves or their friends.

How about:

 

A guy is coming back home and meets a random person in the alley. He brakes that persons legs and steals their money. Then uses the money to buy his girlfriend flowers, and to spend a nice evening at the restaurant together. Now imagine that this persons girlfriend would do the same, and they are in a loving relationship.

Too close to brute for me. I prefer my evil the cunning scheming type. They can get their hands dirty but they rather not come to that. But when they do get their hands dirty they maximize the impact and value of the action. So no robbing Joe Smoe when they can rob someone wealthy instead.

 

Brutish evil too easily becomes stupid evil.

 

So basically the owner of the bank that robs people of their lives savings completely ruining them and on top of that gets paid by the gov't for his services. That type of evil.

Meh then it's not really cheating is it? If the intended "victim" is ok, then no harm no foul. In fact I would see a dark couple actively not wanting to be monogamous to begin with, for why deny yourself the pleasure of another person simply because it's morally good to do so?

 

I'm kinda in that situation right now to be honest...and it works out ok.
