ME3 was fantastic up until the last 10 min or so , big emotional moments after another from mission to mission ( Mars , Tuchanka , sur Kesh , Tessia etc.. all awesome missions ) , got me hooked all the way until i met the star child :-). so Yes the ending was terrible but don't let that cloud your judgement.

Well, from the numbers of conversations Angry Joe needed to skip just in the prologue for his video to avoid spoilers, I'd say DAI's story density should be rather high. Compare that to Skyrim: if a video showed the prologue, that would not tell you much. It's like almost every other TES game they made, only in a different part of their world.

Something showing you the full Skyrim story wouldn't really be telling you much either. There really wasn't much there to spoil or that anyone care if it was spoiled.

And that would not have helped. The Citadel would just have closed up, and they wouldn't have been able to take over the network.

Seriously, let's think about this a little. If taking the Citadel was still an option once the Conduit was removed, WHY didn't they send all of their forces to the Citadel in ME3? They COULD have EASILY done it, and no doubt destroyed the defenses there... but then they'd just be stuck with a closed up Citadel.

Seriously, if taking over the Citadel through direct assault was EVER an option, they'd have done it in ME3. Regardless of whether or not the Citadel forces knew about the Reapers, they would have been able to do it.

This is not a plot hole, it's the very foundation of the ME1 story: Reapers can't take control of the Citadel by force, and needed someone to sneak in an army to keep it opened up. Sovereign saw the best chance to accomplish that and took it. Just because he failed doesn't make the plan stupid, because the rewards for succeeding would have been far greater.

But taking the Citadel is actually super easy, and also completely pointless. The entire backend of the Citadel is a void, so you can fly a ship up the Citadel's butt even if the arms are closed.

And Sovereign was desperate to turn the Citadel into a gateway as that was hinted as being the only way for the Reapers to get from where they were hibernating back to the rest of the Galaxy. Normally the Keepers access the little interface on the Citadel that causes the Citadel to turn into a mass effect relay, however the Protheans were supposed to have broken the Citadel-Keeper interface so Sovereign needed someone else to use the interface instead of the normal Keeper. That's why Sovereign needed Saren. Unfortunately you killed Saren so Sovereign had to manually control Saren's body in order to access the console that turns the Citadel into a mass effect relay. But even that was pretty silly. Why would the Citadel rely on the Keepers to push a button? Why wouldn't it just turn into a Gateway automatically? Instead it was set up to automatically send a signal to the Keepers who would then push a button to turn the Citadel into a mass effect relay. But why even bother with the Keeper middleman? That never made any sense in ME1.

And then you have the problem that Sovereign was destroyed when you killed the Sovereign possessed Saren. But for some stupid reason when you killed the same version of Harbinger, Harbinger didn't die? That's a huge plot hole that really ruined ME2 for me.

But except for the fact that the Citadel was actually the mass effect relay that the Reapers used to get back to the Galaxy, there wasn't any real point to it. The new purpose assigned to it in ME3 completely clashed with the purpose the Citadel served in ME1. And not only did it clash with the purpose of the Citadel, but it also clashed with Sovereign's complete panic attack at finding out about the Keepers not pushing the button to turn the Citadel into a mass effect relay. If the space brat controlled the Reapers and the Citadel, then why wouldn't he just turn himself into the mass effect relay?

And if the Reapers were able to easily get to the rest of the Galaxy even without the Citadel mass effect relay, why was Sovereign panicking in ME1?

Don't think Bioware or CD Project Red will stop making story rich RPG's anytime soon.

Maybe this

"There is a realm of existence so far beyond your own you cannot even imagine it. I am beyond your comprehension. I am Sovereign."

or you know...stupid writing.
