How different are your characters?

My characters are always kind. I just cannot be mean in games even when I want to. I am a sucker for bad conscience and just cannot hurt anyone (sept those I really hate)

I generally create a personality for every character I play, but unless I make a conscious decision to do otherwise, they always reflect me to a certain degree. Not in who they are, but in what they do. I generally go for the 'good' choices, unless I'm deliberately playing someone evil or compromised somehow. Usually, any such differences are in later playthroughs, never in my first one.

I make them different enough but I never play someone don't like or that has conflicting views on big topics. So none of my PCs are pro-circle, pro-templar or religious, among other things

Well, I try to play different types of characters in different playthroughs of different RPGs, to make it interesting and see all the different choices outcomes, but there's always two aspects of my personality that seeps into my characters.
1) I am an atheist and all but one of my RPG characters are too. The only one who isn't is my Female Human mage in Dragon Age: Origins.
2) Anything bad that involves children, like Jack's past in Mass Effect or Connor in Dragon Age: Origins makes me feel very uncomfortable. My character could be the most evil, murderous person in the world and yet they'll always help children and kill anyone who harms them.

I typically differentiate my characters just a little bit. Typically the female characters of mine are typically rebellious but still very kind to heart. My male characters are usually borderline anti-hero, they are still rebels and are still nice and do good things, they are just usually a bit of an asshat from time to time.
