Deciding Decision

Making Alistair mad for forcing him to be king, along with forcing him to marrying Anora, and letting her dad live thanks to Aedan's old god baby.
that could be meeting Morrigan in front of eluvian in Witch hunt and leaving with her through it.
for me it is epic moment by itself, but when you think about it as the very last moment of origins story, it is even more epic moment.

Yeah, agree. That is one of my epic moment also.

Epic Meeting

Oh yes...I definitely remember that thingie. First thing that came out off of me was....
....OOOooooOOooooooookkKKKKkkkkkk...
But this thingie freaks the hell out of me. I mean it really freak me out!.....

Slaying the Arch demon the first time was pretty epic.
Totally agree....

End Game Arch Demon Slaying

The very first time playing it had to be the end of the game when killing the Archdemon.
I thought back to Morrigan's offer, that I had rejected not fully comprehending what that would entail. I thought: There is no way that way they will kill off my Warden or Alistair *laugh*
Get to the end...
I CANNOT BELIEVE THEY KILLED ALISTAIR!
Since we were in a romance and I took him along he took the final blow to sacrifice himself for the woman he loved. I cried like a little girl not understanding what I did wrong. I had to go research on how to keep them both alive -.- Curse you Morrigan and your magical snatch
For my Warden it was making sweet sweet love to Morrigan
. However, It was probably a little akward that they did so with Enya playing in the background
instead of the Warden's preferred Barry White
. lol
Just completed 'Paragon of her Kind' in my current playthrough so still buzzing.
So on a smaller scale.
With Combat Tweaks v323 mod enabled. Executing a Whirlwind dual-weapon strike at a group of berserked Hurlocks in the middle of the main bridge into the Dead Trenches and all three blew away like avian litter with a single sweep. Really like the dagger stab to the darkspawn torso followed by that oh so sweet beheading too. And Ogres. Love that animation when you deliver the mortal melee strike, leap up to the head using your dagger and longsword for purchase and deliver that two-handed death blow to the noggin. How d'ya like dem apples?
Made all the sweeter if you are unconscious and your LI executes that move in her rage. That's my girl. Cue the kiss animation.
Combat in DA:O never gets old. Awesome.

@qojop Well, I don't think the Blues Brothers would be dancing to that song. lol
Listening to Leliana sing

I know dude...I just grab what i can find real quick...lol.

I would have to say that first lunge into the chest of the ogre in the tower at Ostagar. The Warden was bad mammajamma.
DAO did epic very well, particularly given that it's not the largest gameworld ever (at least the playing environment, not Thedas itself).
Most epic is dragonslaying- just done very well despite all the glitches- very epic-screenshot-invoking. Flemeth was the best (so downhill after) but whatever.
The most epic full playthrough I had was my first- possibly because it was the first, but more likely because the Dwarf Commoner Origin manages to "knock it out of the park" in so many ways: the inescapable Provings fights which end in the upset to all dwarf society, the making it on the surface as a dwarf social reject that otherwise would be presumed probable to die in obscurity (which makes every victory and decisive moment that much more meaningful), returning to the city that had exiled my character but now able to access dwarven society in a way not possible as a casteless, helping sis and mom get out of the gutter, the trumphal endscene as a DC able to ask for help for the city that had rejected your character. And then there are the dragonslaying fights as a little hobbit leaps on the head of a dragon FTW. Not to mention that moment of emerging from Orzammar and its Deep Roads nightmares after having finished business there, finally seeing the blue skies again. No other Origin I played made the game so memorable.
As I have said before - BW certainly know how to tug on the heart strings and punch to the guts. My first playthrough (same as Dracoangel) Alistair died. WTF?!? That prompted me to go the forum for advice (thankyou Sylvanaerie) and I've been here ever since.
The death of Oran was the first punch in the gut. ![]()
Romancing Al was the first heart string tug. ![]()
The first time I killed the Archdemon, I didn't realize that I was allowed to go back to camp afterwards and thought I had to strip my companions right then in preparation for Awakening. Thus, when Sten took the Archdemon's last few hit points and triggered its death scene, he was unarmed and wearing only a white banana hammock. (I'm glad I hadn't had the nude mod up. This way was much funnier.)
The Joining ritual. Watching Daveth die in agony and Duncan kill Jory in cold blood, always manage to upset me and all my Wardens. Even my bastard Cousland, who killed everyone he could, was uncomfortable.

Yeah, I know. The first time when I saw Duncan killed Jory, I was like...!!!Dude!!!...why you did that for?!...Jory have a family and all. I was upset too.
Then, much much later, in one of my play through...guess who decided to join the Grey Warden?...
I know, it's not supposed to happen this way, but after countless play through, I just needed something different I guess...mods made it possible.
It was fun. It's not canon, but a fun alternative, an alternate reality if you like.

Lol I know. I have also played once as Zevran.
He simply decided that instead of killing himself attacking the Wardens, he would kill himself attacking darkspawn - as atonement for his sins. That was my most heavily modded playthrough - I even had a mod that gave the Warden Zevran's voice. But I don't have pics of that - that was before my old laptop died and I lost all my files. Hm... maybe I should play that again. ![]()
Yeah man, mods! They are awesome aren't they?!...
Know what I am sooo loking forward to in 2015?.....
!!!!!!!! SKYWIND !!!!!!
Man I am soooooo excited to play that. I am ready for it. Just waitin' for them mods wizards to finish the massive project.
It's going to be a blast dude.I guarantee it!..... Are you looking forward to it too?...

YES! I'm so excited about that - and, they said that once they finish Morrowind, they'll do the same thing with Oblivion! ![]()
