Missed opportunities, having Shepard resent squadmates for that, having squadmates resent Shepard for other actions. If, say, EDI is the one to pull the trigger on the VS, I don't think there's any dialogue with her acknowledging it at all. Garrus is the only one that I'm aware of who talked about it, and as I noted it's pretty much on rails that you don't hold him accountable.

They (sort of) did this with Joker post-Thessia, giving the opportunity for animosity to build between them, but again, Shepard is railroaded to chew him out for his joke.

Doesn't EDI count as well if you destroy the Geth? She doesn't get angry but the uh... disappointment(?) is pretty bad as well.

I loved that scene. Guilt tripped by a robot, marvellous

Yeah, she gets a little mopey, concludes that you're some kind of anti-synthetic racist, because clearly there's no other reason you'd make that choice. I'd have liked a sequence where she locks you in your cabin for a little one-on-one "chat" via the intercom. Remind you just how much power she has in an "open the pod bay doors, Hal" kind of way. I'd have also liked if Garrus knocked your ass out in the cargo bay if you killed the Quarians. Drill down and make Shepard justify the decision instead of everyone forgetting it one mission later.

Yeah, entire races gone. What a shame. Oh well, let's move on. It's all good. I think Liara is the only other one besides EDI who said anything about the Geth. But then everyone forgets. Same with the Quarians. Gone.

It would've been nice if the thing did get aggressive and then show Shepard throwing the thing out the airlock and having it back as a hologram.

Yeah, the companion reactions to these choices are not very effective at all. At that point, Garrus should have revoked the bro status right then and simply dedicate himself to the mission, but no longer interacts with Shepard as a friend. Hell, I would have gone so far as to have him refuse to join the Citadel party lol.

I don't know. Pissing off the life support could be a bad idea.

Why? CAT6 had no problem shutting the thing off and it didn't do anything.

What do you guys think?

My canon shep never banged a human or a squidhead, so where did this child come from?

Hopefully this rumor is just that, a rumor.

BioWare needs to bury Shepard.

I wonder what an appropriate reaction from Javik would be.

Javik: Siding with the machines is a mistake, Commanda. Why this Alliance does not throw you out of the airlock is a mystery.

Shepard: Do we have a problem?

Javik: We all do, more so, thanks to you.

For me, there was never any bro status with Garrus. He was just a squadmate and nothing more.

Well, you know what I mean. Just having more dynamic interaction so his mannerisms and tone of voice change depending on your bigger decisions. In such a system, Garrus' auto-bro mode would no longer be there.

Maybe the next game will have the same setup as Dragon Age where a squadmate would leave if he/she felt the main character was being a dingdong.

How that works should kind of depend on the relationship of the characters. If it was a Firefly-type setup where the characters are free to come and go as they please, then that works, but if it's a military vessel, characters can't simply abandon their post. Now, it would be interesting to potentially have a mutiny if your PC goes off the rails enough, forcing you to put down the mutineers with lethal force. But this would have to be handled well or it will look ridiculous.

With the exception of James and the VS, is it really military though? What would we call the rest of the squad? Contractors? Free agents? Squadmates like the dextros answer to their own militaries, but where do the others fit into the chain of command?

*insert obligatory "chain I go get and beat you with" reference here*

Don't know anything about the firefly thing, but a few of the squadmates were not part of the Alliance and could leave if they choose and in ME2, all could potentially leave except for maybe Miranda and Jacob.

This assumes that a Femshep survived and concieved a child

Or that Liara carried Shepard's child (In which case you'd play as an Asari who is one eighth Krogan

or that Broshep concieved  child with a female love interest

iow OP and his source are both full of ****

Origins is a fun game, worth playing at least once. And you'll have the added bonus of some context when it comes to using the DA Keep for Inquisition.

Just finished the Dragon Age II demo on Xbox.

I really liked the different personaity for the dialogue wheel, where my Female-Rogue really wanted to be a dragon.

Some of the characters in the game are similiar to Mass Effect. Carver was like Jenkins, Isabella was like Tali and the other 2 would've been Kaiden and Ashley. Oh, and my mum is Dr Chakwas, *shot*.

Also, I can be lesbian with Isabella! O.o

I've played Origins but everything I've heard has put me off II. Any idea if that'll matter in the slightest for Inquisition? (drifting waaaay off-topic here!)

Apparantly, DA2 is a fairly decent game that got a lot of hate because of.. reasons. I wouldn't know though, haven't played it. Was thinking of buying it to fill up the last few days before DA:I, but instead I decided to do another run of DA:O (FINALLY got into the game lol, took me long enough) as a City Elf dual wielding warrior.

My biggest complaint about DA2 was the repetitive environment. For a game that took only 17 months to develop, there is a lot of content. The dlc's are really good, especially Legacy and Mark of the Assassin.
