For those who don't know, this is a gibbet.
Hence the mutliple disapproval from that sentence.
This is going to be so much fun.

So we killin' Chantry clerics now?? ![]()
Best part for me was the end. You are shown dancing with empress/empress's mandmaid, then the narrator states that gaining an ally will also gain an enemy. You then are shown someone pointing a bow at the inquisitor. Hmmmm. So an archer that is against the empress.......
Give me a "B"!
.............
However, the person seen at the end has really pale skin whereas Briala was described as having nearly-brown skin.
One the topic of who's who, I wonder if that elven mage was Fiona.
Mage: Check
Female: Check.
Elf: Check
Black hair: check.

It's her.

Indeed. I don't think that was her. I think that was possibly our Halamshiral assassin.
It's her.
It's her.
She looks...young.
At any rate, stabbing her through the bars of a cell seems very anti-climatic. I'm saying this because those can't be the dungeons of an ally or ours (Red Lyrium everywhere)
So, what do you all figure we're doing with Monsieur Fancypants at around 2:42? Looks like we've been challenged to a duel. And I guess rapiers are a thing - could be cool. :3
I wonder if that's Gaspard (probably mostly just wishful thinking - I just wanna see him so much... and then have Leliana introduce him to the Murder Knife).
That harlequin looks badass. Be interesting to craft that armor.

I think Gaspard is supposed to be older than that dude looks, though.

Whoops, not that elf! This one:
I wonder who the elf is in the prison cell with red lyrium growing around it. Probably not Fiona (doesn't look like the shot we see of her at the end of the trailer), but probably not Briala either. Possibly an elf thrown into the dungeon by an Orlesian noble, or maybe the Venatori considering the high concentration of red lyrium?
Oh, sorry, didn't see JB's post.

Spoiler
It's the same elf.
Excellent. Executions.
It's the same elf.
....never mind then.
But yeah, I'm still pretty sure it's her. Death by lyrium insanity?

Please tell me there's atleast one companion who approves the Gibbet. I don't want it to be like ME2 all over again where EVERYONE whined when I gave the base to Cerberus =/
Although on the other hand, I quite like the idea of doing whatever the hell I want regardless of what anyone thinks...

Same shoulderpads, same hair, same dress. It's most likely the same elf.
Anyway, how is she not dead? Isn't touching normal raw lyrium a sure death sentence for mages? You'd think Red Lyrium would all but disintegrate you on the spot.

Good eyes, thanks for the screencap!
Looks like she's leaning against the normal stone wall and not touching the lyrium, which is why she's not dead/going insane. Mages can get reeeaaallly close to lyrium without feeling side-effects, as evidenced by the proximity of a Mage to the liquid lyrium to inhale those fumes in order to trigger their Harrowing.
EDIT: The Harrowing Lyrium may also have been purified as it was liquified, though, so take that with a grain of salt.
We don't even know, if red lyrium would affect mages at all, like normal lyrium affects them.
As to the trailer... I'm hyped as hell now. Seriously. Best advertisement for this game that I have seen so far.
If that's Fiona then she needs to pass around whatever spell she uses to stay so young looking. Other than that, she's still going to die in my play through. Alistair must never know!
