No, you will get some hint of it in game just like in DAO. However, you will naturally understand events and characters better if you read the book. Just like in DAO.

 

from what i saw the most that was bothering me was varric can leave?

dao alistair will stay if or not you kill loghain which im like always having alistair fight him and instant kill off so thats my choice

Yeah, we were told a while back that Varric will leave if you totally ****** him off. One of the devs said that between DA2 and since, Varric has been through a dark place and isn't quite as happy go lucky as he was in DA2.

 

We have one companion who will stay no matter what. They have said you have be intentionally pyschopathic to run off all the other companions.

 

Some think Cass is your permanent companion, though I think it might be Solas....

Aw, hopefully good old Varric isn't too much of a changed man. Which it wont matter to me overly much if the other companions are compelling and interesting.

 

I grew a strong attachment to Varric probably because he was the only companion in DA2 that I liked or thought was interesting.

That is so you remember how many you have killed. Makes me almost wish for the crazy blood splatter of DAO and DA2.

Really?  hmm. While I couldn't stand Merril or Anders and found Fenris unfitting to the world, I liked Aveline, Varric, and Sebastian. Isabella I found entertaining, until I learned she was the whole reason the Qunari wouldn't leave, then I gave her to the Qun.  Probably a whole psychology work up about me and respecting authority that you can draw from that information.

Whats with the pajamas trend??? Hawke had awful "comfortable" clothes in his house. Inquisitor runs and leads an entire Keep and has to wear.. that... Hmmm i wanna know which dev designs the "home-wear", I think he/she needs a few pointers on better pajamas shops Honestly there's some PJ's that look better than what the Inquisitor is wearing.

 

Seriously now, i hope that doesnt bother much visually when playing around in Skyhold. If it does... fingers crossed 1 of the unannounced extra items from special editions is a new Skyhold Outfit, or even a new color would be an improvement

Nope, most of them are extra mounts and multiplayer chests.

 

Personally I think their priorities were a bit misplaced. We have over 30 mounts but only one Skyhold outfit.

Agreed. Im assuming a lot of important stuff is going to happen in Skyhold, and imagining big important cutscenes happening while wearing that.... its gonna cut a bit of the epicness off

On a serious note though, I still can't see me executing people... although that would probably depend...
