There is no visual or text evidence, so people that do not know about Sera are going to assume she is a LI with that trailer. I think Dorian would had been a better choice.

Of course that is my view from a PR stance and not really from a fan that know about the game and it's characters.

It's just the same inquisitor they've used in all the trailers.  I think his face is #1 on the default slots in CC.

It's default in a sense that's it's the option the CC lands on when you choose Human Male and is #1 on the list. It's also the one they've been using in a lot of marketing. It's not an uneditable default like iconic Hawke or Shepard.

They have been using human male preset #1 for most of their videos (although the haircut changes).

What other options would one expect in that situation? We also have no context.

Perhaps you would prefer an option to "Make her coffee" or "Take her to the prom". Not every choice in the game is going to be so simple.

I can't believe I'm writing this since I've been a firm defender of DA: I from people hating on the DA2 references, or deviations from Origins but I'm starting to get intensely pet-peeved at the "casual" attire the Inquisitor has for his/her time in Skyhold. Here goes hoping some of the first few DLCs offer a bit of variety in that respect, like they did in ME2 & ME3. I can't help but feel that the Inquisitor should feel a bit more commanding or decorated while navigating through their own castle especially when carrying out executions.

I'd love it if we could wear our armour in Skyhold.

 

Though this has been discussed elsewhere and I think there's a thread for it, so I won't get too deeply into this...but yeah I'm disappointed we only have that pyjama outfit.
