I'm pretty sure Bioware learned their lesson after ME3, I doubt we'll see a repeat of that. They know if they don't deliver, then their fanbase will be permanently damaged and they'll loose a lot of credibility if they ever try to publish anything else. That being said, I'm really looking forward to seeing what they come up with and if your choices in the Keep make any difference in the endings you can get.

 

That being said, I don't think you should be screwed over if you make the wrong choices, but if I remember right, Bioware said there'd be 40 different possible endings. It would make sense that the previous world state would effect at least part of it

Well, I'm pretty sure they permanently damaged their fanbase.  There are a great many people who left, some that will never return no matter how great DAI ends up.  Even I, about as hardcore a fan as you can get, am a bit guarded about future games.  Good thing for Bioware is that a new generation of gamers gets brought into the fold upon each release.  My son who was too young for DA2 is now old enough to play and will have a copy of DAI.
