Yes i no its just a game and all that lol but i think its a shame you cant romance Vivienne as she seems like she could be a very interesting character for that to develop with.

I can commiserate. Before Solas was revealed as an LI, I was really hoping for both Vivienne and Blackwall as bisexual LIs. Alas, it wasn't meant to be, but I still get the "what ifs" about it. They said it wouldn't make story sense for her to romance anyway, so hopefully that's true enough to put a pin in it once the game comes out.

This is your first post so you don't know, but many, many people have commented on it leading up til now. It would have been 2 options across the board like in DA2 and for straight men and women DA:O, but this time there are a couple of extra romances.
But still 2 options. Leliana and Morrigan; Merrill and Isabela
2 options this time are Josephine and Cassandra.
Heres to the next game having a 6:3 split party of 6 women and 3 men and maybe they will keep it even or every other game will change if straight women or men will have more LIs. I get that it is frustrating to have less options than someone else, but it would be nice if you noticed that often women have had less options in other franchises, and that lesbian and gay gamers will probably always have the short stick. Someone who can be dissapointed, but not feel entitled to more, and people that can accept having less occaisonally with grace are really, really appreciated.
Seems to fit the premise of her character; she's a high mach who likely doesn't sh*t where she eats.
It's unfortunate but it makes sense; she seems more of a Flemeth than a Morrigan.
I agree with OP. Even though I don't really see what people have against Josephine and especially Cassandra I do agree that there aren't enough m/f romances. Personally I would've made Vivienne a human male romance option instead of Blackwall being a female romance option (sorry Blackwall fans).
I recall seeing in wiki once Vivienne as romance option for both males and females of any class...then after a week I re-visted wiki and that info was no where

So most likely it was wrong info that wiki changed or BW did planned to make her another LI but took her out for some reason.

I feel ya, OP. She would have been my #1 pick, forever girl, at least based on what we know so far and what she looks like and her voice actor and her everything and and. Well, it is a shame, but it didn't happen, and regardless of whether I can romance her or not, I look forward to getting to know her and being her friend, or her frenemy, or whatever.

Yeah. I was bummed about this... for about 15 seconds. Then I stopped caring entirely and just decided on having another LI instead.
Maybe she'll return in the future installation and become romancable... like Cullen and Cassandra.

OP I feel ya, I REALLY wanted to romance Vivienne but for whatever reason we can't, honestly Bioware better give us a damn good explanation. Hell somehow Blackwall made it as an Li even though he's probably pretty close to his calling, doesn't make sense to me 
I don't think every female companion should be a LI, I'm just sad Viv wasn't. Her character and appearance appeal to me the most.
Oh i know some are just sad she isn't one of the few LI. and sometimes i do wish Aveline, Or Oghren were LI too, but of the character we have i'm happy she isn't, Like i get Cassandra and Cullen, I see what they are trying to do with Solas and Sera, Dorian i find very interesting. Then Iron Bull, Josephine and Blackwall are the more meh (Even if Blackwall is the most perfect beefcake in a bioware game).
So i'm happy we have this independent character. and i'm happy its her, she seems the best character to be lecturing me about my failures, but if she was a LI i don't think i would take it the same way, because the entire time i would be trying to make sure she loved me or was happy with me. I don't know if i'm making sense but yeah. I'm just happy we have a strong unromanceable character.
