You guys forgot she is an orlesian "circle" mage. Circle mages don't have lovers, unless they are done secretly.
Another fact is that she doesn't want to draw attention as the lover of a leader - The Inquistor - which might be a hindrance¿? to her position as the offical mage of the Imperial court.
This is basically what I think the reason is. She wants to keep the Circle in tact, so any relationship she engages in would be inherently temporary if she gets what she wants.
They're just curious for an explanation that's all, I don't find it creepy in any way. I don't find the OP throwing a temper tantrum as you see it.

I was a bit hurt that she wasn't a romance. I usually do MM romances but she would have definitely made a mf romance for me.
Probably same as Aveline (who I also wanted to romance 
). She might be already married, or not looking for romance, or the circle explanation as above, which is probably the most well supported as of now. Remember, our other mages in the DA series were: The Hero of Ferelden (recruited to the GW, thus no longer beholden to circle rules), Morrigan (an apostate, same as the warden), Wynne (a circle mage, not romanceable), Anders (an apostate, romanceable), Merrill (Dalish elf + apostate, romanceable), Bethany (circle mage, not romancable... of course that probably also has something to do with her being your sister), am I forgetting anyone? We've never had a possible romance with a circle mage.

Well I can't say anything about that, but they need to calm down. People like me, are just wandering why she isn't roman cable mainly to get a further insight into her character.

I really don't have much more to go on since we haven't really seen a whole lot about her in the vids and such yet. No personal cut scenes are anything like that really. And I don't really love her since I really don't know her, but I hope I like her character once we get the chance to know her.

I think it's pretty easy to distinguish Vivienne's personality from Sera's personality. I like Vivienne's and I find Sera's to be irritating. It's not more complicated that than, really.

I don't understand the meta-level complaining though. You are complaining about people complaining. You are demanding that people don't demand. To what end? If Bioware wants to respond, they can. If not, they'll ignore. They don't really need white knight posters to come in and police threads for them.

I agree, she could have been a good option. If I had my way, I would have removed Blackwall or Solas as a LI option and replaced with Vivienne.
OP I feel ya, I REALLY wanted to romance Vivienne but for whatever reason we can't, honestly Bioware better give us a damn good explanation. Hell somehow Blackwall made it as an Li even though he's probably pretty close to his calling, doesn't make sense to me

Lol you got me, well they made Blackwall an Li even though he's probably close to his calling( he's been a GW for awhile apparently) so I don't see why we couldn't have a Viv romance.
I though Viv was a love option.

Relax, she'll be romanceable during the party in the last piece of DLC if you took every opportunity to flirt with her and didn't romance anyone else. Just like Vega.
