Krem was awful token, like if the South Park creators played this game...Krem would be a whole episode.  I was groaning for transpeople with the Krem thing.  I hate, hate tokenism.

If their graphics team didn't completely suck with the hair thing they could have made it far more obvious and you wouldn't feel like a fool later in the game like I did when I was like "Woah, that's supposed to be a trans dude?"

Given the way South Park approaches a lot of issues, it's much more likely that the most outrageous parody would be of the detractors of trans people, rather than trans people themselves, much in the same way they kick around xenophobes, mormons, scientologists, and backwater rednecks XD

They terk er jerrrbs!!

Except when there are three of them chasing you into a horde of assassins.

The bears in Inquisition don't give me much trouble.  They take a while to go down, but they don't wreak havoc on my team's health.

South Park, at least the old episodes, make fun of everything. It's refreshing to see absolute political incorrectness in the face of an overwhelming tide of PC garbage washing over the media these days.

They still make fun of everything, as far as I can tell.

They make fun of anyone who takes themselves too seriously, hence "Token"...my point is not that transpeople don't deserve characters or that they deserve characters.  They pay money for a game and have a game generator with options--they now have representation and I'm happy for them.

I'm happy for anyone who can scrounge some happiness out of this shitty world.

What I would like to see though is dedication to an idea.  Don't test the waters.  You have a fan base.  Either go hard or go home.  You want to support transpeople?  Make a trans-companion. Don't give me a half-assed token character.  The fact that he said this was hard to write when we have very little out of Krem in the game gave me a headache.

Make him a character then later make him trans.  We're all just spirit having a human experience.

Tragic that your views can't be swayed. The tree that doesn't bend is the tree that breaks.

However, I agree. This **** needs to stay mature. I know even anti-SJWs/progressivists sling mud at times.

No disrespect intended at all when I ask this (I don't even view myself as a SWJ), but if you are anti-SWJ/progressivists, does that mean you don't support the LGBTQ community at all? I don't mean portrayal in the media, but the community and members it/themselves.

To put it as shortly and as unrudely as possible: No, I do not.

That's all I'll say on the issue. I mean no disrespect to anyone.

Ever since mushrooms I don't believe in this whole label thing.  We're just spirits in people skin sharing the same ride for awhile.  There is no gay, straight, trans--not really.  You let us fall under some alien attack and we'd all learn quickly that we're "human".

I'm not defined by my vagina, my hair, my clothes, my job, my religion, or who I have sex with.  I'm defined by all of those things and ten thousand more.

Well, there you go.

At least you admit to it, unlike others.

I think the importance to some, myself included, is the fact that a "label" means that there are other people like that. When I heard the word "asexual" it made me realize that there are other people like me, and that I'm not a freak. I believe Leela Alcorn had a similar experience. She heard the word "transgender" and she was extremely happy.

I know you said you won't say more, but now I'm curious and you can answer or not answer.

Do you mean you do not support the GLBT movement or do you mean you can't even support GLBT people?

Again, I won't be offended if you don't answer.

I support people.  I even support bears if they are in a distance.  I'm an anarchist so I don't support any movement that grows government.  I want us all living in small hippy communes self-governing.

I'm 100% fine with homosexual or bisexual individuals. When liking/disliking people their sexuality doesn't mean **** to me.

It's the movement itself and people who actively say they're in the movement that I do not support. One can be gay or bi and not be a supporter of the LGBT movement. I believe the movement itself fights only for entitlement, not equality. Major difference between the two.

I'd like to not press the issue any further lest someone try to report me and claim I'm "harassing" them. It can happen around here for the slightest things.

TAKE MAH EARINGS TOO.

Seriously, though.  Dude, Helvescient, perhaps you should try and see things from someone else's perspective before you start spouting things like 'entitlement.'

Three years ago, 2012 Helvescient was as Liberal, Progressive, and LGBT-supportive as a human being could ever get. Then 2012 Helvescient grew up. I've seen the other perspective, I've defended it, I've entrenched myself in it.

But I grew up.

So then being pro-LGBT is now childish.

Okay.

Okay.

Saying "I grew up" is not calling you childish. "I grew up" means more of "I studied all the sides more then decided one side was not the right one for me to follow".

Can we just drop this before the thread's locked and people get banned? Please do not try to make it seem like I'm trying to insult anyone, because I genuinely am not.

You and Hanako may report me if you like, obviously. All I've done is politely state my opinion and answer a simple question simply asked.

Last I checked in the terms of use, one doesn't have to support any social or political movement to be allowed on Bioware's forum. Me simply saying "I don't support it" is not a valid reason for a report.

I'm just trying to bring certain elements to light. Your previous posts and your seeming annoyance with Krem's mere existence and your violent gif outburst at the mere presence of this thread all make sense now.

One .gif of American Psycho, huh?

I can't like a movie without being called violent?

Oh god, it's one of these threads again. Take your "progressivism" and SJW mindset and go home.

This was clearly aimed at the OP's topic.

I would go so far as to say that this was aimed at OP him/herself.

Well you did also say that pro-LGBT people can't see reason. I fail to see how anyone could think that ISN'T insulting and dismissive.

It well expresses my anger with the SJW ideology itself.

Wasn't meant as an attack on any individual or individuals at all.

Never did I say that.
