We f00king live in 2015. People need to stop assuming everyone is "heterosexual until proven otherwise". Seriously.
Why? Because now that it's 2015 people are more likely to be gay? It's programmed into you to make such assumptions. We judge by aesthetics and by societal norms. It may not be a good thing, but it's true. When I met my mom's cousin I assumed he was gay because he was interested in really gay-related things and seemed gay. It's not offensive in any way.
If someone assumes my sexual orientation incorrectly I'm not going to be offended.
