Is the Broodmother a demi-goddess?

Even thinking about the Broodmother is "instaclimactic" if you catch my drift

The f*** is going on in this thread?

I try to go back and see if it makes any sense but I just end up more confused. What the ever loving hell?

For starters, I'm extremely surprised that the idea of casual sex is something you have never heard of.

Oh, I love it when people presume. It's like they think they're clever but guessing at what another person does or does not know.

You are the exact problem with the LGBTQ community.

Why, thank you. I'm also a racist who goes to Klan rallies every week.

The simple THOUGHT that I wouldn't have kids prompted my mother to yell at me and tell me to "never say that again". Even if I did "date boys" and I was asexual, that is not the same thing as being straight and it is being a member of the LGBTQ community because you still have to put up with **** like this.

Yeah, being asexual is the same as being gay, lesbian, transgender/transsexual, or bisexual. Even when you agreed that asexuality isn't an orientation in the same vein as hetero- or homosexuality.

People thinking that you're a jerk for "pretending" to be queer in order to be unique and fit into the community because in reality they don't have to go through any hardships when actually, they do. That's an extremely despicable and judgmental view of something you have no knowledge of.

Yep, I think you're a total jerk. Right on the money. You must go through a lot of hardships each day. Why, I hear they're only just starting to legalize asexual marriage in some states.

I am aware asexuality isn't a sexual orientation, but rather the lack-there-of, but it still isn't something you can control. There are different types of asexuality. People who find sex gross, people who have no problem with sex but don't feel the need to have it, and people who have a sex drive. Let it be known that having a sex drive doesn't necessarily mean you have casual sex. Calling people like that overtly drunk or ******** is essentially the same as saying that all bisexuals cheat on their partners.

Totally the same. 100%, and in no way hyperbolic on your end.

It is important that I'm a panromantic asexual because "asexual" doesn't entail much. I can be asexual and still experience romantic attraction. Sexual and romantic orientation don't necessarily have anything to do with each other. In fact, a person can be romantically attracted to woman but sexually attracted to men. It's not common, but it happens. I'm guessing you're going to say those people are sickos, though.

Yeah, deranged perverted hedonists. That's what I think.

In case it wasn't clear, I'm not going to grace this idiotic post with an actual, legitimate response. I was calm and level up until you decided to insult me and reply to me as if I were an idiot.

I mean, you could convincingly argue someone like Merrill from DA 2 is demisexual.

You are right, one could.

At least until GaymerX last year when David Gaider did a Word of God and proclaimed Merrill as just bisexual.  :crying:

Can't you be a bisexual demisexual since a demisexual can fall in love and have an emotional bond with either gender?

Pretty much...that and speaking some truth or did you think you projected a pleasant persona to him/her from the break?

The emphasis in my post was one the word "just", as in "only this". Gaider was addressing how the DA2 system was getting flak for 'bisexual erasure' by confirming that Anders, Fenris, Isabela, and Merrill were just regular bisexuals.

I don't mean this as a snide and I'm sorry if it comes off as such, if such a character were to be in the game would you need it to be clarified by a writer in order for it to count for you?

In one of his blogs responding to people responding to what he said, I believe he said something like "they are simply bisexual", so yes. I'd check for you, but Gaider took down his blog.

Not necessarily, no. There are characters in media who seem like the are demisexual without the writers even talking about such things. That said, it would certainly help since it erases all doubt. And for Dragon Age it would probably have to be said since the universe doesn't have that terminology, which is why Patrick clarified via tweet that The Iron Bull is pansexual, not bisexual.

I'm not usually concerned with what kind of persona I project online (I don't know you or any of these other people, why do I care?), but I'm not going out of my way to insult or offend anyone. If they take it to heart and think to come back with things like

You are the exact problem with the LGBTQ community.

I'm guessing you're going to say those people are sickos, though.

I'm not even going to bother explaining or defending myself, since they've already made their mind up and I know that no matter what I say, they aren't going to take it seriously (so why should I?).

Alright I think that's a little odd personally but if some people feel better with 100% clarification from a writer I'm not gonna make fun of them for that especially when I get like that sometimes with other things myself.

Ri-i-i-i-ght but you also kinda say things like:

It isn't. It's just people wanting attention so they give themselves a special label.

and then expect people won't take it as shade.  I mean, I'm a HRB, too, so I understand...just it's also why I don't take offense when people snapback.

I don't know what "take it as shade" means, so that part escapes me. If that's an idiom, I've never heard it. I've also never heard "HRB" before.

The only person I see taking offense to anything is the person I was replying to before. I was calm and level (and still am, I haven't gotten angry or pumped up with them) until they decided to say I was "the exact problem with the LGBT community" and that I "must think those people are sickos", even though they have zero idea of my opinions on LGBT people or the issues they face. After they flung that at me, I just stopped caring. Or, rather, I still care (I'm still talking about it after all), I've just decided to stop giving their posts serious and critical thought.

Oddly I agree with o Ventus in post #405.  I like someone not afraid to shade.  I just think when snapback occurs we have to put on the big girl panties.

I think you have a strong personality and should expect strong responses.  Not a dig at you.  I've pissed off countless people on this forum.  I also don't care or get all that involved when they insult me.  It's like...their opinion and ****.

"taking it as shade" = "taking something as an offense or insult" I have no idea what HRB is either.

For future reference, you can't go around saying stuff like

you sound like a 16-year old Tumblrina who wants to stand out and be able to call herself LGBT, but still get away with dating boys.

or

you're either an idiot or an a**hole for having sex with someone you don't think is attractive. Or very drunk.

to someone and then be surprised when they take that as an insult. Because those were, very clearly, insults.
