In the Keep you can't have a romance with Sebastian and let Anders live but you can in the game. You had a romance and you even got married but none of that registers if you let Anders live? Sure, Sebastian leave if you let Anders live but your still married to the guy and you had a romance. Shouldn't we at least be able to have that for future games?

I'm thinking that the marriage doesn't last that much longer if Anders survives the events of the Last Straw.

I didn't realize you could get married. Do you have to rival him so he leaves the Chantry for Starkhaven?

Probably not, but still they have a history. Hawke's ex husband an all. ;) What if they, let say, decide to make a DLC were Hawe are reunited with his/her companions and love. Talking to Sebastian would be like they never had an relationship at all. Who knows if Sebastian will have a role in DA:I and if Hawke will ever met him again?

Nope. It's a sex-less marriage. :P

Well I didn't romance him, but I do remember him yelling something along the lines "You'll pay for this Hawke, you should have killed him"  Which I totally took as, You're a horrible person, I'm leaving you forever and I'll kill you if I see you again.  Not much room for romance or marriage there.  Not killing Anders seems to put Sebastian over the edge.

I think the Keep only counts romances that stay at the end of the game with your hero.

You could romance Fenris but give him to Danarius, you could romance Isabela but give her to the Arishok, and you could romance Sebastian but have him leave you at the end. All those events end the romances automatically. The only romance that 'stays' is if you romanced Anders but killed him in the end.

Anders aside, I do wish they'd included the choice of Sebastian being a rival or friend romance, as they lead to very different outcomes - rivals means he decides to return to Starkhaven as prince and cement a political alliance with Viscountess Hawke, while friends just means he wants to hang about in the Chantry with Hawke (that whole chaste marriage thing never really made sense to me, but hey, if that's how they want to roll....)

110% agree, considering my Hawke romanced him.

Agreed. Broken romances should be recognized, because it should color how they interact and refer to each other in the future.

As much as I'd like to have this option in the Keep, I think it would be too hard to implement realistically. Taking Leliana as an example, she should have very different reactions towards a formerly romanced Warden depending on the reasons for the break-up: 1) simply ending the relationship, 2) moving on to another LI or 3) leaving her for dead in the Temple of Sacred Ashes. You can have many different reasons for breaking-up with the LIs, and it seems too complicated to track all of them for just a couple of dialogue changes.

Thing thing is, like Anders, Sebastian's romance were finalized. Fenris couldn't be finalized until after facing Danarius, and Isabela during Act 3. But even broken romances should be stated IMO.

"Romanced" does not seem to be exclusive to "active at the end of the game".

Alistair can be romanced in the Keep if he becomes a drunk and leaves the party, or if you die. This makes sense to me though, since both of these are things that might affect his character from then on. It's something he may bring up in conversation, color his worldview.

Perhaps Sebastian doesn't, and there's some distinction relevant here for storytelling between a 'broken' romance and a 'discarded' romance, and the Keep is not treating them all the same way. Honestly, Sebastian doesn't strike me as the type to think back on Hawke fondly.
