If I could also leave the hawke and the inquisitor aside to play with my warden , even telling everyone that he will not appear, I have hope that in the end it appears ; - ;

Nope. DA2's abuse of cameos has turned me off seeing any of them.

As it is, I think the main cast of DAI has too many familiar faces from previous games.

No Anders, because I love him and I'm pretty sure if he shows up its going to be more misery for him. I am toying with killing him in the Keep just in case he makes an appearance for that reason, lol, but idk if I will.

Meredith! I love her voice actor.. anyone who played Age of Mythology might recognise her as Amanra (the Egyptian Hero) in that, and she was my fave in that too.

I will only accept Anders' return if it means I can have the Inquisitor gut him. I'd love for Meredith to return, but I don't think that's possible. Other than that... Varric.

 Meredith is my favorite DA2 character. 

 

She has a very strong, commanding voice. Jean Gilpin did an excellent job voicing her.

I could deal with seeing Anders and Sebastian since they have obviously big roles to play in the political struggles of Thedas. As much as I didn't really like the characters' personality, it's undeniable they have a lot more to tell in terms of their impact in Inquisition. 

 

I wouldn't mind seeing Fenris. Even though his angst got a bit annoying, he was an interesting and well-written character. His abilities and ties to Tevinter makes him a pretty solid candidate for a cameo as well. 

 

Isabella could assist the Inquisition in a minimal way as well.

 

I can't really imagine a scenario where it would be appropriate to see or even engage Merrill, either of the Hawke twins, and sadly even Aveline. Aveline was my favourite character of DA2 with Varric so unless she recycled herself into a mercenary I doubt we'll be seeing the captain of the Kirkwall guard any time soon.
