I don't have the game yet so I can't experiment, but was wondering when I do get it if I will be able to transfer my xbox saved game from me1 to use with the PC version of mass effect 2?  I couldn't find much through google but I can't be the only one that got the original xbox version on release day and then the PC version for the second game because it came out the same day as the xbox verison?

Nope, sorry. Even if you did hook your 360 drive up to your PC, they're incompatible.

I ended up getting it on the PC just to get a savegame for it as I am getting ME2 for the PC. It was a good refresher for me, though.

If you need a save file or want to build off a save file. I have a ~50ish male soldier shepard, ashley LI, mostly paragon (some renegade), everyone that could be saved was saved. ALL side quests and DLC done, max money.

You can NG+ if you want different decisions and max achievements/stats. I just figure there wont be enough difference between 50 and 60 to be worth another 20 hours

If you want someone a little different, try googling, there are others out there. However, be wary as I dunno if it flags for cheats and if so, what the consequences if any, there are. Im 100% legit.

thanks kelmar/Geller! My character was pretty much 100% paragon (I'm boring) with ashley and did pretty much every single side quest I could find including the dlc so it looks like they have one that pretty much exactly matches mine. I don't remember my exact level, I'll have to fire up the xbox to check. I like how they list side missions, like I convinced the man to donate his wifes body to research and let the insect queen go. Most of the other sidequests had pretty cut and dry paragon outcomes. Can I still customize the look in me2 though if I use one of those save files?

Yes, you can customize your character's look in ME2 from an ME1 import. You just cant customize decisions made in ME1 from ME2.
