That or it just means the scene isn't in the actual game.

 

I assume that's the main breach forming at the start of the game, so probably its not in the game, It would be interesting to see where all the companions where when the breach formed.

 

I wasn't sold on any of the mages, which is why I was leaning towards a mage for my first playthrough.  Vivienne however is looking more and more interesting.

My guess would be something to do with the Orlesian Civil War with the mans mention of Empress Celene.  Could also be about the Templar-Mage war but those snooty Orlesians are less likely to care about something that is technically beyond their own nose at the moment.

Civil war is the only thing I could come up with. Especially since it would appear that the Chantry is handling the mage/templar issues.

Two things:

 

1. BioWare said Vivienne not being an LI would make sense once we played the game, so there is probably a story reasons.
2. Why count out everyone else and ask for her to be an LI for men only?

On a side note, is it just me or does Vivienne get more beautiful with each screenshot/video of her?
