I'm torn between elf, dwarf and qunari.
Played a dwarf in DAO and LOVED it, but I may switch it up since everyone seems so damn interesting,

Name: Raith Trevelayn
Race: human (male)
Class: rogue- archer
Spec: tempest (I hope it's comparable with archery)
Romance: I don't know yet
Backstory:
Grew up with close ties to the chantry yet doesn't despise mages. Very logical mind and realizes the Mage Templar dispute is a simple resolution. Mages should be monitored except just as regular citizens not in a tower or circle. Should a Mage commit a crime then a Templar should be allowed to police them as any other citizen would be policed. Raith has always been agile with strong bow skills and had a natural affinity for alchemy. It was always fun for him to challenge himself both physically and mentally. Never one to back down from a challenge Raith is not someone who attacks from the shadows. He is very tactical in combat and uses positioning and landscapes to find his advantages. His alchemy augments his physical skills.

Never started with a rogue character da:o was a warrior, da2 was a Mage. This game seems like the first time in a DA game I can play a rogue the way I love playing them Kite, position use slows ect. Kinda like dragons dogma style . Looks like I'll dip into the caltrops line of sabotage for the sunder armor ability, see what archery abilities dragons I find most useful and upgrade those. Stealth is going to be in there for the flip back reposition ability but doubt I'll use the actually stealth skill, then I guess my remaining skill spots will be used in tempest, still not sure what those entail. The way I figure around 15 this guy is gonna be doing some serious damage. My party will just evolve as I need it to, if for no other reason than Raith is a legit tactician and will adjust his needs.

I made a post about my Dalish girl, who will be my first.

This is what I (roughly) want her to look like:

Purple eyes, blueish dyed hair (manly eyebrows delate her) and green Vallashin

Elf is great for playing a super salty character. In DA:O you could be so rude to humans

Depends. If the CC allows me to make an ok looking one then it'll be female qunari BFS warrior. If not I'll just skip to the next in line, female dalish mage

Nah, her hair is white. I don't know why it has that blue tint. And the tattoo is more of a gold. Again, I think the picture just has a blue tint to it, making the gold look green. And I like her eyebrows. She's not a plastic pinup girl. ;)

Female Elf Mage, named Elena. She lives in the same world as my Female Dalish Rogue, and my Female Mage Hawke.

I've always imagined her with long brown hair (Warden was blonde, Hawke was a red-head), but with what I've seen of the character creator, I don't know what I'm going to go with for her hair.

I'm leaning towards Rift Mage as her specialization. Her romance will most likely be Solas or Cullen, but I'm not completely ruling out Blackwall or Iron Bull.

I have so many characters I can play, and I'm constantly flipping through them on which to play first.

AKA I have no bleeding idea.

Here is mine.

Name: Carolus

Race: Elf

Gender: Male

Class: Mage (Knight Enchanter)

Romance: Cassandra

Appearance: White, short blond hair, silver tattoos

Personality: Supremely confident, sees himself as the savior of the entire world. Although he has a huge messiah complex, he is a very personable person and very much a romantic. Has a huge flair for the dramatic. He is the kind of person who would bring an orchestra to a battle so he can fight to his theme music. He likes giving passionate speeches and is fond of huge thrones.

I'm going Male Qunari Mage or Dual Wield Rogue. Love interest has not been decided but it will most likely be Cass, because I love her.

My Warden was a badass female dalish elf with an attitude that romanced Zevran, and did whatever she wanted. My Hawke was a female warrior that romanced Fenris and sided with the mages. Should make for an interesting playthrough I hope, especially since my Warden only got along with Sten, who is also a Qunari. (She romanced Zevran for physical reasons, not because she loved him.)

My first character will be a aggressive human male templar who hates mages and knife ears. That's the way to play

Unfortunately I'm pretty torn. I just know the first world state I'm importing will be a male City Elf who romanced Zevran and an aggressive, heavily pro-templar male rogue Hawke who friendmanced Fenris.

The strongest candidate is a male elf (any class, lean heavily towards warrior or rogue but not opposed to mage) although the female qunari mage is practically fighting tooth and nail for that spot. Female dwarf rogue is behind them both with the female elf mage catching up to her. Just a matter of that moment I open the character creation screen and decide who's first or who appeals to me the most at the moment.

Planning the male/female human, male qunari and male dwarf runs on subsequent playthroughs.

Well, I'm planning for a Dalish dual weld Rogue, Aleta Lavellan, following in the example of Celine Mahariel, Warden-Commander, Hero of Ferelden and lover to King Alistair and believing that the mage Anya Hawke needs to grow a spine, come back, and fix what her friends helped her break.... But since that doesn't seem to be happening, and you can't trust a stupid shem to do something on their own, it looks like she'll need to do it herself.

She's spec'd as a Tempest rogue and will be romancing Solas. She has pale blonde hair (Mahariel was a red head, Hawke a brunette), large ears even for an elf, a nose that was broken in a fist fight as a da'len and dark vallaslin highlighting her distinct gold and blue eyes. She's quite proud of her heritage, like all Dalish, and is looking forward to proving her worth in the eyes of the world.

For my second, and a whole other world state, a blonde human Mage, Marina Trevelyan. She'll be a blast from the past for Cullen; a sensual woman with a good heart, much as the Hero of Ferelden, Kate Amell, was when he knew her. Sadly, Morwen gave her life against the Blight, so Maker only knows how Cullen will react to another Mage who's interested in him. A Rift Mage, she's studied the Fade extensively during her time in the Circle, but she won't have time to be fascinated if she wants to keep the world from becoming ass deep in demons. She has silver eyes and full lips, and completely refuses to don the traditional Mage hats, as they look ridiculous.

She admires the Hero of Ferelden, as she gave a good name to Mages when she sacrificed her life to end the Blight, saving Ferelden before most of the world had even heard that a Blight was started, and gets rather irritated when someone suggests that there was no Blight. The amount of refugees that flooded into coastal cities everywhere is proof enough for her. She's heard of Drake Hawke, how the Rogue fought to safeguard the Mages of Kirkwall and finds the tale very romantic, from him defeating the Arishok in single combat to defend his pirate lover, to him choosing to spare the life of the man who blew up the Chantry and give him a chance to atone. She will strive to live up to the example of the heroes of her generation, even if she might feel as if she's in a little over her head. Luckily, she's got her friends and advisers close at hand, including a broody templar with dreamy, dreamy eyes...

Race:Human

Gender: Female

Name: Sirona Trevelyan

Class: Mage

Romance: Cullen

Features: Pale skin from a life lived in the tower, black hair, green or blue eyes(haven't picked yet, maybe both?). A scar somewhere, not sure yet(this is why I need the CC to know what I'm working with!); being in the middle of a rift explosion one would think they wouldn't walk away completely unscathed...

Personality: Humorous (AKA: Wise-@$$)

Spec: Rift Mage or Necro

I have two characters I am very interested in using and I'm currently undecided on which to make first. They are both Qunari weapon and shield warrior super tanks with the champion specialization that will be as helpful and goody goody as possible.

The only real difference is one is male and romancing Josephine and the other is female and romancing Sera, and thus has her in her party replacing Varric.

I don't really like pre-planing... but I guess the vague ideas I have are Elf rogue(odds are my first character but i'll just decide when I start playing), Qunari warrior and Human(who I wanna make just an awful person) mage. mmm all female.. odds are.

Or maybe I should just make a Dwarf first since I don't have an idea for one, then I'd love her most.

They Were Qunari(who I wanted to be as fancy as I could make her) rogue, Elf warrior and human mage but the Qunari hair thing apparently was enough to switch it up.

I used 2 d20 die and a coin flip to determine my race, class and gender for first playthrough.  After rolling a dwarven mage twice (the system has its drawbacks) I finally got a human female mage.

Name: Anna Trevelyan

Romance: probably Cullen

Appearance:  dark-haired, pale-skinned, got a nasty burn scar on the underside of her left forearm that she hides beneath robes.

Backstory:

Before the war, would have described herself as Aequitarian.  Now describes herself as 'reformist, not revolutionary'.   A pragmatist, Anna recognises that people are still too scared of mages to accept them into their communities, that isolationism is both unlikely and impractical, and thus that the Circle is still needed, if desperately in need of reform.

Anna's mother was pious, but in the way that inspires self-reflection, not judgementalism.  When her only (and beloved) daughter was revealed to be a mage, she had a minor crisis of faith, which she resolved by concluding that Anna (and herself) had not been cursed, but was being tested by the Maker, and that Anna would need her support. They corresponded regularly, and until the war began her mother usually managed to visit her once a month.  (Her brothers had varying reactions, from disavowing her to plotting to break her out.  Her father was utterly indifferent to her.)

Anna is smart enough to know that she was very lucky, for a mage.  While she chafed at her bonds sometimes, the Circle was usually more sanctuary than prison.  The Knight-Commander of her Circle was strict, but fair; the First Enchanter an effective leader; her family had mostly stuck with her, and the unspoken threat that was the Trevalyen influence kept any Templars tempted to abuse their authority at arm's distance.

And then Kirkwall exploded, the Right of Annulment went out, and everything went to ****.

A Qunari could be fun.  Imagine submitting your inquisition to the Qun and the satisfaction of being as annoying overall as most Qunari have been to deal with in the last two games.  Could you imagine the circles your logic could produce in conversations?!

I'd hate to say it but I will probably play a human first, I find its good to figure out the lay of the land before jumping in with someone who may not immediately fit in.

I also like a good anti-human elf. I feel for the plight of the elf, and rubbing human noses in it is always fun.

A Dwarf was my hero of Ferelden with the best playthrough, so I will probably not make a dwarf the inquisitor for quite a while.

A necromancer could be fun.

Bah I am just rambling, I have no idea.  I do however know that it will be epic, when I do make up my mind that is.

I don't have everything worked out yet, but here are the basics:

Name: Yula Adaar

Class: Archery Rogue

Spec: Torn between Tempest and Assassin

Personality: Still working on this. She'll definitely a sense of humor, though not as much as Snarky!Hawke. She's a little resigned to being the Inquisitor, but does so because someone has to save the world. Also, she'll be pretty girly if I can help it because I love the thought of the six-foot-tall horned Inquisitor squealing over shoes and kittens.

Ideals: Pragmatic but not an extremist; has no particular thoughts on elves-humans, Templars-mages.

Romance: Iron Bull

Appearance: Dark grey skin, light purple eyes, white hair, scarred on her left cheek

Female Qunari Mage who has serious trust and attachment issues due to both her race and her magic ability. I think I'll start playing her as somewhat aggressive, but becoming more humorous and diplomatic as time goes by and she grows closer to her companions and starts really believing in the Inquisition.

I have done quite a number of these things, but I enjoy them. So here is a short blurb about Navilia.

Navilia Trevelyan, she is a female human rogue(archer); she is also bisexual.  She is strongly pro-chantry, she was raised to be a mother within the Chantry. She was thus trained in politics, leadership and diplomacy. She is rather devoted to the faith of Andraste and the chantry. She supports the chantry because she believes in what it teaches. The fact that the chantry saved her from suicidal depression when Siobhan, her handmaiden/lover, was killed by a blood mage is something she won't ever forget.

This makes her rather wary of mages, at least at the begining. Due to the fact that it was mage that killed Siobhan, a mage that blew up the chantry, mages that tried to kill the Divine twice. She is wary and a tad fearful of mages. She supports the circle and thinks it is the best method for mages to control what they are, and keep others safe, including the mages. Blood mages though deserve utterly no mercy, even a mage like Merill or Jowan.

I do plan on naming all the better weapons I use for her after the chant of light :)
