Anyone have any pictures or know any videos that show the map and how it's used? My wife got spoiled with Skyrim's "overhead map bar" thing and follow pointer. All I saw was that little radar thing. I'm hoping it's easy to know where you're supposed to go next.

There is a mini map that's a radar that shows you points of interest and enemies when they are nearby (not the terrain, etc). You can fast travel to previously explored locations through the full map screen. Looks like it's as easy as simply clicking the location you want to go to.

Also, you travel to the different regions via the War Table (though they first need to be scouted is my understanding).
