From what you've seen, who are your top three companions so far and why?

 

I'd have to go with Cassandra because I enjoyed Dawn of the Seeker and I have this thing for strong independent female characters, and, she's a complete babe.

 

Second is definitely Sera, because her personality is just amazing, and she's Legolas with boobs. Can't go wrong with that.

 

Third, it's a tie between Dorian and Solas, they both seem to be very interesting characters. but I haven't seen enough of them yet to decide which one I like more.

 

Finally, my least favorite is probably either Vivienne or Cole. Vivienne simply because I just get this weird vibe from her that irritates me. Cole because I haven't read Asunder yet and from what I've gathered so far, he's going to be so innocent that it's more annoying than anything else.

 

So, what about you guys?

My first is Cole mainly because i'm interested in what he is

 

Second is tied between Dorian and Iron Bull because they're not what we'd expect from where they're from

 

Third would be Blackwall just cause he seems amazing

 

Least favorite would be Varric just cause he's already been a companion but i still love him

Cassandra, no explanation needed

Varric, because he's a wise cracking dwarf without a beard. You will never find those anywhere else. Not so easily.

Blackwall/Dorian, Blackwall seems like a good mentor and someone to help guide the Inquisitor. Dorian is from the Tevinter Imperium and we can finally learn about the place firsthand from the mage point of view. 

 

Cole is my least favorite, being just a gimped Revenant with a childish mind.

Blackwall would be the first one, he's fascinating.

 

Dorian would be the second. He seems like he'll have a lot of insight into Tevinter. Plus he seems fun.

 

Third would have to be Varric, can't get enough of him.

 

Least favorite ? Not a companion, but Cullen. He's completely uninteresting to me.

Cassandra is my favorite, than comes a Tie between Varric and Blackwall.

 

Least Favorite:...I dont know, it would have been cullen if he was still a douche canoe but now... idk.

Top three would be Dorian because he's flawless, Vivienne because she's also flawless, and Cole because he's a cutie pie whackjob, and smarter than anyone gives him credit for.

 

Least favorite would be Varric, but only because I don't like companion repeats and would rather have either a whole new character or another minor NPC promoted to companion like Charade or Keran or whatever. I still like him, but he was already my Hawke's BFF, and it should be someone else's turn in the spotlight.

 

Everyone else looks great, though. I still haven't seen a reason to dislike any of the companions, they all have something interesting going on that I want to explore. That might change once we actually play the game and get to know them, but for now I'm stil in the honeymoon phase where I love them all and want to be besties with everyone.

First.  Cassandra.  She is an odd mix of contradictions yet she seems to be the good kind of contradictions and not the bad kind of hyporitical ones.  Iron looking, yet beautiful.  Persistant.  Hard and practical, yet also warm and caring.  In other words my Fem Shep yet in DA.  

 

Second: The Iron Bull.  Tough Qunari James Bond voiced by Freddy Prinz?  Count me in.  I think it would be interesting to see a Qunari who is not really a good example of the religion, if you know what I mean. 

 

Third: Tie between Dorian and Varric and Sera.  Dorian because he is something I am most eager to see.  A renegade Tevinter mage.  Tevinter is one of my favorite countries from DA that we have not seen, but because of the history, the implications within the lore, and the environment.  I hate their government, hate what they do to people, and the fact that most Tevinterans we have run into are evil sedastic freaks of nature it will be great to run into one who was a magister to be, yet rejected it.  And he is snarky, has a BA mustache, and looks rather full of himself, but in a good way.  

 

Varric:  And Varric.  Writer after my own heart, terrific sense of humor.  Ability to tell a good story and just be a good friend and pal through the battles and trials you are facing.  Nothing much really to say about him.  

 

Sera.  She looks capable of taking the ****** out of anyone in Thedas and doing it quite successfully.  Having a renegade and happy go lucky attitude that will mesh well with almost any party, and yet be quite bad arse at doing it.  

 

Vivienne goes into the least fav pile.  I do not think I am going to like her at all.  She looks prudish, arrogant, and way to into fashion plus all the wrong stances politically.  I will try to keep an open mind but I have a feeling my two Inquisitors will despise her.

I can't pick three favorites, they're all amazing, but I can definitely say that Derp Horns is my least favorite.

Those horns are soooooooo bad.

Faves: Dorian( ), Vivienne, Varric. Pity my favorite classes to play are mages, followed by bow wielding rogues... 3 mages + 1 archer, or 2 mages + 2 archers don't seem to be optimal set ups   

Least Faves: Cassandra (just haven't warmed to her, plus I haven't gotten around to reading her book), Sera, and Solas... This isn't because I necessarily dislike these characters, I just don't know much about most of them. I can't think of any DA characters I actively disliked, just a couple that vaguely annoyed me (+ Loghain, but I never actually got him as a companion, since I executed him every. single. time).

I don't know anything about Solas and Blackwall, but all other characters seem appealing to me. Here's who I'm looking forward to the most:

 

1. Cassandra - Didn't like her much in DA2, but she was a bit on edge in that one. In the promotional material of DA:I, she seems like a strong and powerful character who at the same time is very feminine. She's tough, but she's also a romantic.

 

2. Varric - My opinion is based on DA2. I like how Varric is un-dwarfiest dwarf in Thedas.

 

3. Iron Bull - Another character who breaks with his stereotype. I'm looking forward to meeting a qunari who, as Freddie Prinze says, is nothing like any qunari we've ever seen.

A little early for me to be picking favorites, but Cole, Solas, and Vivienne are definitely the ones I'm most curious about.

 

Iron Bull or Varric are tied for the ones that currently interest me the least. IB just doesn't interest me at all based on what we've seen of him and I never really cared enough about Varric as a character to see another story arc for him.

Dorian, he's so attractive and everything about him is perfect!

Iron Bull, I think he will be fun to have around. Although I hate Qun

Cassandra, she's lady who kickass and that's my fav type of lady.

 

Least favorites:

 

Blackwall, grey warden, enough said.

Sera, I have hunch that our sense of humor won't match. Could be wrong though.

Solas, somehow my intrest of him has mellowed down a lot. Hmm.

#1 Varric, cause he's awesome and hilarious

#2 Cassnadra, i find her to be an interesting character, i liked the banter between her and varric, she seems like a good person.

#3 Dorian, he seems like a cool character, i hope to get to know him during my first playthrough, but we'll see, i might change my mind and bring someone else, there are alot of cool new characters in inquisition.

It's is actually really difficult for me to chose favorites until I have actually played the game but from what little we know about them here are my 3 favorites:

 

1. Cole (after reading asunder I want to know more about him.)

 

2. Dorian (he sounds like he is going to be absolutely hilarious!)

 

3.  Sera (she also sounds like she's going to be amusing)

 

My least favorite is Vivienne. Her character sounds really interesting and well written, I just don't trust her.

Vivienne was in my bottom 3 UNTIL I saw her little trailer. Damn, she looks badass...

Iron Bull, Sera and Dorian are my favourites from what we've seen and they will also be my main party. 

 

My least favourite is Solas, he just doesn't seem as interesting as the others personality-wise and he just seems kind of bland compared to the rest. Also my Inquisitor is probably gonna be a Rift Mage (and a male elf) so I doubt I'll use him much in combat either! I love Gareth David-Lloyd though.

Bull because reasons.

Vivienne because I gotta respect anyone who can destroy someone using only words.

Cassandra because shes tough, but has a soft human side.

 

Least favorite? Don't get insulted anyone, none of us have played the game yet... But if I had to take a guess, Varric. He is everyone's buddy.... But we already have him in DA2, and he never got me excited. I like him and all that, but I don't have "Strong" feelings over him, negative or positive. He is just a buddy.

My favourites

 

1. Cassandra - I'm really looking forward to meeting her, her look and personality are great just like her voice and I like that she's an andrastian and seeker and fighting for what she believes in. I also liked her a lot in DA2 and surprisingly even in Dawn of the Seeker.

2. Vivienne - have you seen that trailer? She's fabulous, beautiful, powerful, hates the mage rebellion and her entire personality seems incredibly interesting to me

3. Varric - he's just awesome in every way possible

 

My least favourite:

 

1. Cole - he's some kind of  creepy spirit imitating a long dead boy who kills people in order to feel alive... not a fan so far, though he's certainly an interesting character

2. Sera - she seems like she could be a little childish and annoying

3. uhm... don't know, maybe Blackwall, but simply because we know next to nothing about him. Or Iron Bull if his hedonistic side is too big of a deal.
