Personally, if there is a 'right' decision to make at every turn, then the game has already failed in one aspect.

Pretty sure that's 'right' in relation to the way you want to play the game. For example, some people may see helping the Mages instead of Templars as the right thing to do and vice versa.

I ordered the Quizzie's Edition from amazon and since they still won't tell me when it's supposed to ship <_< I just now went and pre-ordered a paperback version from my Gamestop to pick up at midnight release. I sure wish amazon would sort out their shipping times! Some things I just can't wait for, like the game guide.

Anyway, I always play massive games with the guide from the release, because I don't like wandering around looking for that 1 item when I just want to get on with the story. Plus, I may refer to it with regard to romance, as I certainly don't want to get shafted. *stares accusingly at Alistair after Landsmeet*

Game guides ftw! :)

That's not necessarily the same as having 'right' and 'wrong' decisions.

I agree with that sentiment. :)

Let's see what DA:I's stand is on this matter though.

Are you sure about the price on the collector's edition hardcover book? The reason I ask is because the game stop I ordered mine it was 40$ and the game stop website says the same.

Edited I just looked amazon has it cheaper than game stop .not sure how to feel on that.oh well 15$ more not a big deal I guess.

Just preordered the CE hardcover guide at gamestop to pick up at midnight. And I surprised to hear my gamestop's manager tell me that even if gtav and farcry weren't launching the same day, they would still be having a midnight launch for DAI, because they have a HUGE number of preorders just at my gamestop, far more than they had for DAO or DA2 combined. Wow. Didn't expect that.

Go Hard or go Home...that's my motto in life.

Which also happens to seamlessly apply to my guide-buying philosophy as well.

Gamestop is charging waaaayyyy more for the guides than amazon. The Inquisitor's Edition was $120 from Gamestop, but I got it through amazon for $71 before it sold out.

I pre-ordered the hard cover edition, but I don't think it's going to arrive before or at the same time as my copy of the game, lol. Oh well, I can always backtrack or start over.

.....Or you could just use the DA Wiki..... save yourself $20.00+ (not sure the price)

I will let my first two playthroughs be my decisions and mistakes w/o knowing the outcome (one will be Pro-Mage the other Pro-Templar)

I don't want spoiled on anything ^_^

And so you will go home very soon, after, for example crashing your motobike into something while "going hard". I was like you...

But I am not here to give you life lessons so don't mind me too much, I just hope you won't find that the hard way.

On topic. No. After few days after release I can find10th times more info on Gamefaqs than any of these guides can give me.

But if you like collecting stuff like this, then sure why not.

I ordered it. But will not actually use it as I play the game for at least the first two playthroughs.  I like to read them afterward.  :P

I am the complete opposite. For me a big part of gaming enjoyment is exploration and finding things on my own - especially in (semi) open world games. But those who feel they get more out of the game with a guide, by all means. :)
