Will you use all of your companions?

Will you bring different companions on different quests in which they might have extra/unique dialogue, or will you tend to pick your top 3 and use them for the majority? I will try to first way, but I feel like on my first play through at least I will use Varric, Iron Bull, and Dorian for the most part.

Depends on if they're mandatory picks, but I usually pick three and stay with those three for the entire playthrough.

Eventually, yes, but not in one play through. I tend to stick to a set party outside of companion quests.

Of course I will. I like to switch out my party, especially early in the game, to ensure that I can get a decent feel for all the characters. However, by the end of the game I tend to have a few that I stick with.

For my first play through I will and will pick them based upon the kind of quest it sounds like.

Going into some elven ruins? Solas is a must.

Handling the criminal underworld? Varric is my man.

rinse and repeat.

I'll use all of them on different missions, but I'll most likely end up with a core group that I love having around most of the time.

If I need a character, I'll take them. I don't want to lose any. But I'll probably have a few I like more.

Well I usually always bring my LI with me, leaving only two slots free, but since neither of my LI choices appeals to me, that'll leave all three slots free, and I definitely intend to get to know every one :)

Yep definitely, I mean I'll have my favourites for sure but I'll try to give them all a shot and I will probably be shooting for reactions from certain characters in some places.

Probably eventually but not in the first play through.  I like to mix thins up.  Have a main quest line party (my A team) and then doing side quests and other random activities I do tend to bring out my other companions.  Known as a B and C team respectively.

Always have. I've never stuck to one party in any of my playthroughs of the past games, I like to give everybody a shot more than once.

I just wish we could take everybody at once. :S

On the first play through, Varric and Cassandra are probably going to be in my party 99% of the time. WIth the last spot being taken up by Solas, Viv, or Dorian at various intervals.

i plan to at least use everyone once, if not more. but i'll probably stick to Varric, Cassandra and Dorian, until i get to know the other characters or decide i want to switch out a character.

Cassandra, Vivienne and maybe solas will stay at skyhold, unless the mission requires them.

I'll try and bring anyone who may have specific plot content, but for most of my playthroughs I'll probably have pretty stable parties. Like when I want to do an all mage runthrough,, and usually I'll bring whoever I'm romancing along. And for games I have to get 100% completion I'll probably bring a well rounded party every time, meaning people who share my class will sadly get brought along less.

But I do so many playthroughs everyone will get a good run with me.

Varric pretty much has a permanent spot as party rogue because he was such a damn bro in the previous narrative.
The other two spots are up for grabs though by any and all.

I never understood why people would just take the same three companions with them all the time.  There's so much more to experience by mixing up the party combinations and bringing different groups to different quests.  I never have someone completely on the sidelines.  The closest for me were Shale and Dog, but even they got their time with the DLC's.

Unless there seems to be a story-related reason to bring someone else along, my group will consist of Cassandra, Varric/Sera, and another tank, depending on my preference at the time. I will be a mage, so....

I'll use them all, though probably I'll have one or two that I always have with me.  Won't know for sure until I'm playing the game.

I usually travel with a mostly female party once I have enough companions collected for my first playthrough, but will switch it up if I have to for quests and for subsequent plays.

First time through, yes for sure.  If I don't take someone around at least once or twice, how am I suppose to know anything about them?

On future Inquisitors my party may become a little more locked if I feel a specific three companions work best with him.

Little bit both. I usually take my fav companions around most but I change companions up a lot too so that everyone can get some fresh air ^^

I'll try to rotate my party regularly. Taking the same three companions around seems limiting, no matter who my favourites are; I'd be purposefully handicapping myself from seeing more content.
