I am just wondering if anyone is still playing, and also what happens if Shepard dies. Don't ask if I have read about it, I know you can't import a dead Shepard. I'm more wondering about storywise what may happen. Any thoughts? Also, the topic The Great Endgame Experiment is an interesting one, I'd like to revive it if possible.
Anyone still playing?

I am currently reading The Great Endgame Experiment, and I noticed a few things that originally didn't make sense. My first playthrough, I just finished my second, Mordin died while loyal, sacrificed himself to save the crew, but Thane, who wasn't loyal, I failed his loyalty mission, didn't while holding the line. On the first few pages, that topic says disloyal will always die while loyal always survive. One reason I wanted to try to resurrect that topic. Second playthrough everyone survived, except the crew who were liquified.

But what about Mass Effect 3 era. I'm wondering what would happen in that time frame, and I bet I'm not the only one. And about your signature, a proper way to thank a veteran, kick a politician, HARD!

Good question, OP... In my mind, If Shepard died, Liara would've done the same thing as she did: Try to Stop the Reapers, but the other races didn't go to War in Earth, only in their Homeworlds. Then, she does the Time capsule thing and say things like "Be a more united Galaxy... We tried to Stop the Reapers and tried to unite Alliances to defeat them, but we couldn't... We had a Hero Named Shepard that did the Impossible. If only Shepard was here now, we would've stood a chance. End of Recording"

I'm loving ME2 on my third play through in the years I've had the game. While waiting on the phone for 1.5 hours for stupid Comcast to pick up my call last night, I was diligent in scanning every planet I could, depleting all of their resources, leaving each planet's inhabitants a ruined and husk of a land.
I'm interested in seeing what happens with just blind-picking of who will do what. I don't get all crazy with what I should do when. Just go with it.
I must say I'm nervous about losing awesome teammates, but that is the way it goes.
Oh, and I'm playing on Hardcore. It is tough. I did Kusami's mission and died about 50 times (yeah, i'm that bad) in that end. It is fun, however. Playing as infiltrator, I get to use the sniper rifle from far back. LOVE IT.

I don't know when I'll get around to a third playthrough. I am currently playing 3, but Kasumi is AWESOME!!!! I like her shadow ability thingy (forgot what it's called), and in 3 Im playing as an Infiltrator, trying to do the same thing with heavy melee. Bad part is you can't move while holding the button, and since most enemies won't see you, they tend to move out of the way while shooting the rest of your squad.

Indeed I am. About to complete Shepard number 14, Cyrus Shepard, soon. Although I have actually beat the game many more times. Once all the DLC was out it was time to restart.

My colonist femshep hates batarians.Because of what happened to her folks
and that girl Talita. So 300 000 four eyed freaks will die.
And she doesn't like aliens.well not all aliens.Krogan are ugly.
So Wrex dies. And Mordin assistant dies. And cure deleted.
But she likes asari.blue is her fav color. So Liara is romanced.
Also my femshep partially blames the Alliance for not saving Mindoar.
So she doesn't trust the Alliance much.

Yes I'm still holding the line. I'll be importing my latest Shep (Infiltrator) to ME2 soon.

I'm doing a full renegade Trilogy run as female and adept. I've played ME1 and now I'm on ME2.
I'm focusing on Biotic explosions with Miranda and Jacob as main squadmates.

Does anybody know the specifics of how to trigger the collector attack on the Normandy? I want to know so I can avoid it until I reach level 30.

Complete the Derelict Reaper (Reaper IFF) mission. If you have completed all recruitment and loyalty missions, the Collector Attack will occur immediately the next time you access the galaxy map; if you talk to Legion first, you can complete its loyalty mission first before the attack. If you have any squadmates left to recruit or loyalty missions left unfinished, you will have up to 2-3 missions before the attack is triggered.
Note that to unlock the Derelict Reaper mission, you need a minimum of 8 squadmates (loyalty does not matter) and 5 Mission Complete screens after Horizon.

Like I said, I just want to know so I can get level 30 before the suicide mission, cause I want to import a level 30 character into 3. Unless I can import a character that I played after that mission.

If you do missions after the suicide mission and Shepard reaches level 30, that level 30 Shepard will be imported into ME3

Thanks. At least I can get all the loyalty missions first. Too bad I can't import my money.

I don't think it's a series I would really stop playing. Although there is the caveat that I don't have much interest in ME3, but I might get and play it at some point, I don't know.
Playing a female Vanguard(called her Amanda) at the moment. Romanced Liara in ME1, continued it with LotSB in 2, and I'm up to Legion's loyalty mission with her. Pretty much full Renegade, although some choices have been Paragon in both games(the bar in ME2 is close to half-full). Also edited the save so her sclera(always forget how to spell that) are black(makes the Renegade eyes look interesting). Still have Overlord to do(likely after the SM), and I haven't gotten Arrival just yet(though I have seen it before).

Nope. What it was introduced, were Tech Combinations(Explosions) and such...
Biotic Explosions trigger if:
Pull+ Warp ( I actually discovered this days ago while replaying for, like, the tenth time ME2)
Pull+Throw
(Any More? I just tried with those two)
PS: Altought I don't know if there are any Biotic Explosions in the First ME

Technically, they are "Warp Explosions"
And any thing that lifts the target will "prime" it for a warp bomb: Singularity (my favorite), Pull, and Slam (only while they are in the air).
Thow on a lifted target will create a physics combo: lifted targets are effected more by physical forces (concussive shot, throw, shockwave, charge) than non-lifted targets.

Actually if they are still in the air and blue, warp will affect them.

Does anyone know how to get Legion's loyalty mission right after activating him? I looked it up and I saw you should be able to get it by speaking to him a second time immediately afterward, but that didn't work.
