Talking to people and looking at a thread on a another website and some comments on this one, there is a consistent theme emerging. Most people say they won't forgive Bioware, then follow that up with "I'll probably pre-order the game anyway as soon as it's announced"

the majority of other comments I see around range from typical 'EA sucks' to 'I CAN'T WAIT FOR ME4'

Seeing as how many of you are still playing the game and are definitely passionate about it, I'm interested to know if any of you will be holding back and waiting or will you jump straight back on the bandwagon and ride it off into the sunset?

I don't pre-order as a general rule. Honestly, I don't play video games these days as much as I used to. Still fun to pop on here and chat from time to time.

I don't plan on pre-ordering it just yet because I don't know enough about ME:N. Hopefully, that will change soon(especially since N7 day is only a day or so away). But until then, I'm taking a wait-and-see approach.

Same here, I'm most likely going to wait for more information before pre-ordering.

No way, man. No FREAKIN' way, man. They ruined it. RUINED it! Starkid, RGB, Shep's story over! I mean Shep DIES!! Bio ain't gettin' another dime outta this guy. Nope. uh-uh. Cash firmly in wallet. I don't care what anybody sa-

Why, yes. What a delightful idea.

*ahem* I love the Mass Effect Universe. I still play the trilogy, I still enjoy the trilogy, I still enjoy talking about the trilogy. I feel like I've gotten my money's worth out of the trilogy and then some... and I've barely touched the MP side of it yet. So unless pre-release details are god-awfully bad, and they would have to be pretty damn bad, I'll pre-order it.

I don't know nearly enough about the game yet to just blindly throw my money at it. Plus the last time I took Bioware on their word about advertised features in a game I got shafted big time. After that experience I'm not trusting hype or promises or anything of the sort. I'll wait until the game is out and get /real/ reviews on whats actually in the game and what to expect then make a judgement on rather or not its worth my money.

So I guess the answer is no, I certainly don't plan to preorder. I might even wait a few months after its released to let the patches and DLC to start churning out. With luck by then the price of the game will go down a little bit so I can buy the Day-1 DLC that is undoubtedly going to come out with it without feeling too cheated.

Who am I kidding? I'm a weak ignorant sheep that can't resist Mass Effect. Goddamnit. It'll probably preorder the collector's edition. I'll hate myself for it, god will I hate myself. But that hate will be masked with girly squealing and clapping.

The rEApers have indoctrinated me, clearly.

I'm not pre-ordering DA:I and I'm way hyped for that game.

I'll keep an open mind and wait for the reviews to come out.

My passion has long since turned to bitterness.  No way in hell am I preordering,  It would likely take something akin to a tacit admission that they royally frakked up the ending to even get me to considering buying at all.

I figure I might as well just preorder, because unless some catastrophe claims my console, I'm going to play it regardless, because I gotta keep that good stuff coming. The craving never dies.

Hard to say.

I'd like to hear some details about the next game first, and what it is about.

I usually don't pre-order any games. As to actually buying ME4, I'll have to wait and see what it looks like first.

Besides I still have a TON of other games sitting on my shelf I still haven't gotten around to play yet.

DA:I alone might last long enough until ME4 comes out.

I didn't preorder KOTOR because it was my cousin's copy.

Same with Jade Empire.

And Mass Effect.

And I got DAO and DA2 later on.

I preordered the Collector's Edition ME2.

I preordered the Collector's Edition ME3.

I preordered SWTOR.

So far, I will not be preordering the Collector's Edition of 'ME4'.

I am open to information that will entice me into preordering though.

This information would have to really be specific stuff that I'm thinking of enjoying. :)

But yeah, so far, no.

Though it is almost guaranteed that there is little to keep me from buying the game around launch. Just not pre-ordering or any Collector's Editions.

(When it comes to DAI, I didn't preorder or Collector's Edition, but will get it around or 1-2 months after launch)

I've never actually played any DA games.  Mass Effect was/is my first venture into RPG's.

Unless you count Borderlands or Tomb Raider.

But I'm sure they don't.

I don't normally  pre-order games anyway. Pre launch hype I think should be taken for what it is sales promotion and little else. While ME4 does pique my interest, that focus is based on Bioware's track record of producing first class RPG adventure/fantasy games from the days of Baldur's Gate. While the ME experience improved with each game (apart from the ending in ME3) I made the mistake once of buying a Bioware game based on the reputation of it's predecessor. DA2 I found disappointing, so these days I tend to wait until I get some feedback

So for Bioware and every other game producer I tend to look closely at gameplay, storyline plot etc before commitng myself. Cherry picking works for me simply because I have a specific pre-requisite about the types of games I play

I learned that being an early adopter in gaming is a folly. I see the release prices of games as being almost unjustifiable now. I play on PC and had too many experiences of bugged games and over hyped products to feel comfortable with pre-ordering.

I did have a brand loyalty to Bioware that extended back to Baldurs Gate and I did indulge pre-ordering from this brand to a degree. That was until Dragon Age 2 and the demo of Mass Effect 3 both failed to meet even the minimum of my gaming expectations and caused me to cancel my pre-order for Mass Effect 3 Collectors Edition. A wise move in the end because the price of ME3 dropped by a significant amount in its first couple of weeks and I benefited from this. I took this lesson on board  and had the same effect on other game purchases I have made since.

At this point no, considering they lied or outright forgot to tell us about things last round they've got tons of making up to do, telling only the truth and if anything is iffy about will this feature get cut before the game comes out? Its best to leave it out, providing a demo on all systems would also help but said demo will also need to be an actual mission from the game (BW did do this for ME2 and 3 but I'm just stating this so things like ACBF doesn't happen that mission pretty much got completely axed), advertise fem hero right along side male hero 50/50 split great advertising spots on TV, internet, and other venues, CG trailers, magazine ads, same idea, I like the fact the mako is coming back but they've got lots to do to make up for the lies done in ME3 and the stupidity that ME2 was.

Should probably put my own feelings in an at this point.

I've never pre-ordered  game in my life I haven't seen any advantages to it that would outweigh possible negatives. I see it as gambling and I only ever gamble on roulette because for some reason I win a lot with that.

But over the years ME has become my favourite game and if I like what I see with DA and I like what I hear about ME:N it will probably be the first game I ever do pre-order. Despite the endings ME3 has hooked in enough to make me want more. Badly.

@Iakus understandable I expected you to say as much anyway. :)

Nope. I never preorder games, I wait for a few months after release to get enough user reviews and gameplay footage to form an opinion about whether to get the game or not. ME3 was the most tempting so far but I resisted the urge and played with EC already installed as a result
