With a lead writer who wrote Halo 4 and a creative director who wrote the so-called ending to mass effect 3?

Nope.

I think multiplayer was confirmed wasn't it and they were looking at new game modes as well?

Multiplayer's going to be in everything Bioware does from now on.  Goes wihtout saying.

The only question is, how much of the game will it be?

I'm not fussed by the MP I like having it, it's good to have a cooperative MP that I enjoy playing. Competitive players are too full on for me i'm getting older and i'm fairly ill so I prefer the relaxed environment and teaming up with friendlier people. So for me it's a good thing. Not everybody's piece of cake though and I get that.

That very much depends on what I see of the game and what the pre-orders are officially. Because in Mass Effect 3, I was desappointed by how I heard the items would work (the Robo-Dog especially) and then discovering in-game how it didn't work (It wasn't even my robo-dog!) It was somewhat my own fault for relying on pre-launch information.

Still, making one of the pre-orders a hoodie again would be enough to make me consider it further.

I hate how everyone is still butt-hurt at the ME3 ending, and how just because of that one teeny tiny little thing, they will never forgive Biovar and will never get another Mass Effect game again. It's like they forgot about the other 95% of the game.

Okay back to topic; I don't pre-order games but I will definetely buy it.

The closer we'll get to the game's release the less people will still be butt-hurt over ME3 ending.

The problem is a lot deeper than that for some. It isn't just that the ending was unsatisfying it was also to do with all the PR lies and false advertising they did for the game. They made a lot of promises and claims that fans believed and were excited for and come time to deliver on that they completely went back on their word and even did things they promised us they wouldn't do.

Had the ending of ME3 not been so contrary to everything they promised us, personally, I wouldn't be so spiteful about it. The fact that they lied to us is where the sense of betrayal comes in, not just because we're unhappy with the ending. If they'd come out and admit what the majority of people disliked about the ending then I'd have some hope that they'd "learned" and won't make the same mistakes again. Unfortunately all they do is shift blame over to "Shepard dies" and leave it at that. The first step in overcoming a problem is admitting you have a problem. The fact they act oblivious to the problems does not instill any sense of faith in me that we won't see a repeat of past mistakes.

It could be for some people that it was the straw that broke the camel's back.

It's not the fall that kills you, it's the sudden stop at the end.  Not a teeny tiny thing.  Five year journey ends like that, darn right people have every reason to be p*ssed.

Also, Bioware to this day doesn't seem to get what went wrong.  So yeah, fool me once, shame on you...

Even if I didn't hate the ending, I still hate prequels period.

If they announced that Chris L'Etoile was becoming the lead writer not only would I pre-order, I'd pre-order copies for friends.

As it stands, however, I've no interest in pre-ordering. I'm not even sure I'll purchase the game once it's released ( and I won't steal it either ). The story of ME3 was just bad. It wasn't well written. It wasn't Mass Effect. There's no reason to believe they've learned from their mistakes and so I couldn't care less about what they decide to make up next.

The only thing I'd consider a purchase over is the multiplayer because I enjoyed the hell out of it in ME3. If one could buy it separately from the campaign that would be aces.

It's not the ending why I wouldn't pre-order.

It's what they've said about the next game so far. I'm not liking what I'm hearing, although they're extremely vague about everything.

Depends what the Collector's Edition has.  Otherwise, I'll just buy it on the day it's released.

Most games now days are not worth what we are charged for them so no pre order for me.  I will be watching DA:I release which will go along ways in deciding if I will get any future BW games.  My choice isn't affected so much by how ME3 turned out but more a downward trend in quality of games coming out, most are crap.

If I'm not dead when they finally release it (we're speaking centuries, or eons from now on :P), of course I'll pre-order it. And the Collector's Edition :D

I'd pre order it not just because it has Mass Effect in the name, which is a good enough reason in itself, but also because one of those Bioware dudes on here said they 'have taken notice of the Black Desert 2 character creator and it has been passed around the office. That character creator is sick cool'

For those who don't know:

Look at that madness! You can adjust the curls in your hair!!! Point and drag the tip of your nose... everything.

@Psychevore: You'd preoder a game because of a "maybe there" character creator??

Yes :P

But in all seriousness, there'd be ample time in the pre-order period to check out if it was really in the game.

I saw that in the other thread I was cynical at first, then I watched it. It was enough to make look the game up.
