It seems appropriate considering we can either kill or keep her alive, that she should appear in the Keep's choices. Or is it the fact that coercing her to back off at the Landsmeet, involved a bug?

I always hoped we'd see her in future installments.

Unlikely to be the bug, since her being alive was always a valid end-game state for her.

Put it down to her not being in DA:I and so not considered a priority. But from what I understand they are still adding to the Keep (and maybe will continue to do so for some time) so if enough people ask, maybe she'll get a tile.

She's fertilizer for my turnip garden;)

Seriously though, my interpretation of any "missing" tile choices is that there will be no impact to DAI story.  When something becomes relevant I'm sure they'll add it.

I would have like to see Ser Cauthrien, considering how great the two conversations with her are, but she's probably Ser Not-appearing-in-this-game. I'd actually worry if too many characters from before show up. That will stink of War Assets.

Her voice now belongs to the female inquisitor...who's the "churl" now, Ser Cauthrien?

Is that the VA, really? Interesting to know.

Still, even if she doesn't appear in this game, she lead an army and would be a good war asset to the Inquisition, so if Loghain is dead like so many believe he was after Awakening, then she would have been a good replacement since she was his right hand and could have told us things that he couldn't.

Apparently an unnamed Ostagar prisoner is considered more important than Ser Cauthrien and a whole lot of other very important characters.

Augh you used that phrase! Don't say War Assets!

With my Warden, I managed to make her stand down and admit that what Loghain did was wrong. She admited that she preferred to die at Ostagar than betray Loghain even after all he did, Cauthrien was still loyal to him.

That traitor didn't deserve such loyalty in my opinion so I decided to let her live and serve a better purpose. Probably as cannon action she might have killed herself or simply left the army and disappeared.

Late bump

But isn't Thren the Quartermaster actually Ser Cauthrien? From her conversation and loyalty to Loghain it always seemed so to me ....

Don't really know where you're getting that idea from.

If nothing else, the sheer drop in fortune from a general, and a titled one at that, to a mere quartermaster would need explaining.

I did the same thing.  My Warden found her loyalty commendable and even, on some level, came to understand that Loghain might have once deserved it.  He ended up killing Loghain, but let Ser Cauthrien live and would have gladly recruited her into the Wardens had that been an option.

And judging by this fanfic, I'm not the only player that wishes that had been an option.

Because Anora personally offers her services to Inquisition to get her away from political garbage. A mere soldier would not be affected by politics whereas a general level Loghain loyalist would be.

Her hero worship of Loghain reminded me a lot of Cauthrien says in DAO.
