yea i stopped watching his as soon as the prologue showed up, i was surprised it did, because i know that theyve been pretty particular about enforcing their "no prologue policy". I think its kind of funny he thinks its been shown before, because thats the first time ive ever seen it, shut it off after like 5 secs. Im not one to shy away from spoilers having devoured everything thats been put out, but that was a bit too much. It seems little Joe hasnt been keeping up, not that i think he particularly cares about DAI, but he is good advertisement for the game, having such a large audience and all. For that reason alone, his little misstep should be pardoned.

Umm he's a pretty big DA fan, regarding the games at least, doubt he dives into the lore or anything.

 

I believe they have shown the Prologue to reviewers/critics/media in the past.  He may just not be aware it hadn't been made public before.

 

If you want to hear his thoughts, just jump it ahead to 37:50 and you get what he thinks without any spoilers.

it seems the breach expands and the mark on your hand expands, which is what will eventually kill you, but if the breach is no longer expanding then it is no longer killing you correct?

But I think it does continue to expand because the Fade was everywhere in Redcliffe in one of the earlier demos and now to me that looks like its the endgame. What the inquisitor did in the prologue could just be a temporary fix. EDIT: Though maybe that's just a rift that grew unchecked and by the time you reach it, its expanded through the area? We will see on the 18th!

DA Fan, I don't want to ask anything that violates your NDA, but can you tell us what spells you started with as a mage?  Also, it seems like you're playing a human, so did you get the extra ability at level 2?  (If I think of any other obsessive minutiae that I just have to learn right now, I'll let you know.  )

If you watch the angry joe video, he plays as a human and gets 2 abilities at level 2.

Yeah, Angry Joe is a def a DA fan. However, I'm gonna very carefully fwd to 37:50 mark. I love him, but I don;t wanna see all that.

I don't mind prologue spoilers. The pride demon's abilities are a lot more impressive than before-- except that he's the boss for such a low level encounter. That's a pretty big demotion. I mean, technically Varric, Leliana and Cassandra have all taken on pride demons already, but still. Gameplay-wise it seems quite early.

Well considering the new demons we encounter are so powerful that they cannot possesses mages since the mage body will not be able to handle the possession hence why the breach is bad news since they can get out of the fade. I recall actually despair demons are on the top of the spirit totem poll along with hope.

Makes the most sense.  Also would give a VERY good reason for even the most reluctant Inquisitors for sticking with it to the end.

Story/gameplay segregation always cause that stuff. Just like you have to bring bosses close to 0 HP in some game...for them to kick you ass and leave you half-dead on the floor because you are not at the end yet.

I saw those thanks DAFan, especially the abilities, since I am heavily leaning on sword and shield! Both were very informative!

Surprisingly I found Angry Joe's video not very Spoilerish (THAT IS FOR ME THOUGH - YOU MIGHT THINK DIFFERENTLY).

 

I appreciated the fact he would skip cutscenes.  Some of the cutscenes are the same from the various BioWare videos (Choices video for example)

 

But I totally understand skipping it, because I am certain for some - It is super spoilerish

One thing too from Angry Joe's video: he used the American voice actor and based on the overall range, I think I'm gonna use that voice for Quanri and Dwarves and use English accent for humans and Elves.

I was a little turned off on the facial hair options by how weird that Qunari beard we saw last time looked, but some of the male Qunari beardy options I saw here didn't look too bad, actually.

Yeah, after listening to it come from a human I think I'm sticking with the deep voice for Dwarf and Qunari and the Lighter range for Human and Elf, unless I do a Warrior Elf then I'll pick the deep voice for effect.
