On what platform? Cause ps4/xbone require install.
Which makes little sense as you still need the disk in the drive. With 40GB games, you'll get a full disk with ten games.

Makes plenty of sense. Reading from the HDD is faster then the disk and doesn't wear the laser. You still need the disk in the drive to verify ownership of the game opposed to grabbing to sharing a copy around or buying/renting a game, installing it then returning it.
Well, Derek French made a post a month back about the 360 having two discs, with the first disc being a required install of ~8GB... I'd assume that means that, if one were to install both discs, it'd require just under 20GB of free space...
I would assume the PS3 install size would be similar to the 360's...

At the very least you should be allowed to choose whether to install or not as in 360.

360.
If that requires install then I'm in serious trouble...

Ah. That's good to know.
I can probably manage 20 gigs free.
I think you might wear out the drive motor before you wore out the laser

If you bought the disc version. But yeah, the shiny new Xbone is getting a shiny new external drive very shortly.

On xbox one the preload was preety close to 42gb and took me about 16-20 hours so if you wanted to play as soon as its released i would wait no later than nov.16 to start it.also it updated itself 2 days ago so not sure what went on there
It doesn't require it on 360 persey, but recommended. Highly so.
The 360 version is two discs... One disc is required to be installed, if you want to play DAI(and it's size is ~8GB). You can choose whether or not you want to install the second disc...
