 Yup gearing up for ME2...

So im on my Vanguard at beginning of lvl 59. Sad part is...I started out at lvl 44 as my second playthrough and completed EVERY SINGLE SIDEQUEST except  scan the keepers and collection missions.

And even sadder than only going 15 lvls is that. I only have the option to go to Illos left...and yes ive already completed all the Pinnacle Station quests.

Any other way of getting to level 60? 1...more level...

Or is just doing Illos and killing Saren enough to reach the beginning of lvl 59 to 60?

for me it illos alone got me three quarters of the way there

I doubt there will be enough xp on Ilos. I just hit 60 on Virmire on my last playthrough with nothing left to do after it but I started on 54.

The gap between 59 and 60 is huge.

Before you hit Ilos you could do the collection missions. Also if you haven't left the Citadel you could complete Scan the Keepers. Not sure if it'd be enough but it can't hurt.

Wait....is there any place that has respawning thresher maws? I can use that! Also, do you get more experience if you switch to a higher difficulty?

You don't get more xp per kill but ther are more enemies in some places so it does help.

The experience gap between levels 59 and 60 is 200,000 experience points -- greater than the total number of experience points required to get from level 1 to level 47 or so.  You'll need to do another playthrough (don't bother with the "kill-without-Mako-for-bonus-experience" trick, as there will be plenty of experience if you're willing to do all the sidequests again).

i want to make a second character, so i'm starting from lev. 1. any way to get to 60 in one play through?

No, you'd never come close, you might get to around 54 or so, if you kill everything there possibly is. I got to level 50 on my first play through before starting Ilos. Granted, I didn't start using the "get out of the Mako to finish off stuff" until about half the way through, and I most assuredly didn't kill everything (like the Thresher Maws out in the middle of no where on some maps).

The jump in bonuses in ME2 for level 59 vs 60 isn't huge anyway from what I hear. I was in exactly the same position, with 100,000 exp left to go and only Ilos left to do... no chance mate.

Well there's this spot on Ilos that you can just hide in corner and there is infinite spawns of enemies. Might help.

No way. I think I hit 59 at the very beginning of Virmire (last planet I went to, had done all the side quests beforehand) and I barely hit 60 halfway up the Citadel Tower.
