So according to you, Cory suddenly started talking with a deeper voice  and suddenly sees himself as a god?

Well the ancient magisters did went to the Black City to get the "power of gods themselves". Since that ended as a flop, I guess Cory is now trying to do this becoming god thing himself.

Cory is an immortal being. For all we know he thinks he's already a god.

To be honest, I'm leaning towards the taint actually *being* the 'power of the gods themselves', being closely tied up with the Elven Creators who were sealed away by Fen'harel *coughinthegoldencitycough*. Would also explain how the elves used to be immortal if their immortal was actually related somehow to the taint.

I don't care one way or the other honestly, but I see people saying "but it's the same VA" (and I realize it may not be meant this way but text = bad).

Zevran and Male American Quizzy are the same VA but that doesn't make Zevran the Inquisitor.  Saying it's the same VA is a bad argument.

Whew, ok, glad I got that off my chest.

*Really I don't care who the big bad is.  I was just bothered by that ^^  Sorry.  Carry on.  Nothing to see.  This is not the post you are looking for.

I guess we will have a revelation at the end that Cory was only a puppet and the true bad mob is in the Fade. In theory if he controls the grey wardens, he is the head of the most powerful army in Teldas and can be with this army become the master of the word. If Cory opens some gates in Teldas, it is to find a way to enter in the black city to find his master: Dumat. Since  we see that the altar in Legacy worked, something from the elder god still exits.

Be ready for Corypheus to be the main antagonist. I accepted its likelihood several months ago, immediately following those original achievement leaks. It's only grown more probable with the passage of time.

But then who was the dude talking to Felassan in the fade?

I can't shake the feeling that Cory's just a very important pawn to someone else. Couldn't he be the 'Loghain' in Inquisition?

I have just read that he's very prominent in the artbook, but was it completely leaked or just partially?

People were able to buy the artbook at least just for one day before it was taken down on Amazon.

Anyway the artbook has lots of spoilers but  lack context.

You can get a general idea though.

Quite, but even then, it did nothing more than mention Corypheus as the actual antagonist and final boss battle. Interestingly though, not a single mention was made of "The Elder One".

Yeah but I think the Venatori are the one who created the title"The Elder One" .

It would make sense for Cory , since he's their elder .

It's possible "The Elder One" was just used in promotion  to not give the villain name away.

I still don't think he is the main big bad. He most probably is the Saren of DAI.

I just typed it in Google and I was able to see alot of pages via google books. How is it even possible that we're able to view this?

I saw the page of "The face behind the chaos". And it does say: "Corypheus and his dragon". Even though Cory is a badass and I wouldn't mind it that much if he's the masterbrain, that page doesn't really convince me that he is. As you say, it lacks context. Who knows, the "his dragon" could even bear on him venerating that dragon (who might be the elder one). I guess we'll see once the game launches.

Alternatively, perhaps the "power of the gods" is simply just the darkspawn taint, and the plan did infact succeed, although obviously the fruition of the plan ended up differently from what he expected. Corypheus did seem to indicate that the black city was never golden  ;)

As for the artbook info, the artbook was accidently released on it's original release date (remember DAI got postponed from October to November), so as a result pictures ended up on the internet. Im not sure you should be mentioning details from it outside a spoiler tag though

I just don't by it, it was implied that this force has been manipulating events behind the scenes for awhile, Corypheus was just dug up. And he can't be Felassan's master since he was befriending Briala long beforehand.

If true, this will be disappointing. I've been thinking that he might actually be a third faction, opposed to the Elder One for his own reasons.

I don't know whether to put it in spoiler tags or not since the thread title already makes clear that this is spoiler territory.
