in any case, i would like to see more class tree info but there's only a couple videos on youtube. i'd like to get an idea of what to make before i make it and waste hours playing something i dont like.

also, i see no reason why i can't create a character, pick my talent trees, appearance, armor, weapons, etc... then play multiplayer with him. all they need to do is flatten out the stats/dmg/whatever

Here, have some cheese to go with your whine.

Not gonna lie - all this talk of Destiny is making me chuckle.

It's just a grindy game. Pretty much do the same thing over and over. Throw your grenade, use your melee, and shoot. You do have your special for tricky situations but..to say it's incredibly fun...well..whatever, dif'rent strokes for dif'rent folks I guess.

Personally, I think it's vapid, but it's the only PS4 game I have right now. Can't wait for DA:I so I'll never have to play Destiny again.

I traded it for AC Unity.

thanks for the info. i'm kinda bummed now - i'll have to look for reviews. i was going to preorder but now i'm hesitating. i was hoping this was going to be more like destiny's multiplayer.

LoL I haven't seen a preorder cancelled comment in a while. Thanks for that. Seriously though, the internet is saddened by your entitled dissapointment and will try to do better next time.

Problem is that people will complain about everything.

So only thing I got is numbers, and also that it's not 'just like ME3 MP'. But basically it looks like the skill trees, of which each kit has 2, is filled with 6 active skills, there 6 upgrades (that is, 1 upgrade 'per' skill), and 10 passives. That comes out to 12 active skills and 20 passives, or 44 total points to spend stuff on. Apparently there isn't a respec option (or might be and the guy was just confused) outside of restarting the character over at lvl 1. Which you know, is worth it cause you'll get +1 to an attribute for all your characters that way.

Anyway, can only have 4 skills bound at a time so gadda pick 4 outa the 12, always have 1 point in the 2 starter skills so from 1-20, you basically have 19 skill points of wiggle room. I'm personally seeing a hell of a lot more customization then ME3 had with these class kits. Just more skill combinations, more passive effects and all that. Also the games not wave based, it's a dungeon crawler. Though the not-in-game part is very, very similar for sure. Course you have crafting instead of reliance entirely on RNGesus.

I agree - there seems to be a crap ton more customization than ME3 MP.

ME3 trees were actually fairly straight forward. There were abilities that were just simply better than the alternative. Generally people would have the same build. (Who would choose pull cooldown reduction...)

Plus, since we're limited to 4 abilities in MP for DA, people will most likely have a different load out than others of the same class. Personally, I'm even debating bringing barrier for my keeper...I might try to go a CC support route.

Yeah, I kinda know what I want... or well, hoping, is available on the Qunari warrior. I'll make do with whatever is available, of course, but I hope he has War Cry, Block and Slash and Charging Bull. Or some kinda Champion equivalent. I don't expect him to have any reaver stuff, least not in actives. He might though I guess, I just doubt it. Though we've seen examples of off-classes getting actives from multiple specializations so who knows. I Just don't think Reaver skills really 'work' unless you have all 3, they play off each other far to directly.

Anyway, if I get lucky and they have those 3 skills I don't care to much what the 4th skill is, that'll be my bread n buttah. That whole 4-5 builds the dev mentioned per class kit makes all kinds of sense after seeing those skill trees heh. So good.

Something I have noticed is they mix specializations in with the main tree. From what I saw of their Twitches they each kinda have a mix match of the specializations for their class. The keeper could early on get a knight Enchanter spell, and later on got something that appears to be from the rift mage spells (at least it doesn't seem to be from anywhere else) I believe mostly it will be a wide mix. What makes the characters different even in their own niche is that they are an assortment of all the trees from their class.
