Hello, since DA:I deluxe edition's exclusive content probably is what it is at this stage, feel free to consider my suggestion more broadly, relevant (possibly) for future games as well...
My experience with so called "pre-ordered exclusives" have in the past been a big disappointment and a complete waste of money (which is why I no longer buy them). They are such obvious teaser traps, which is why we hate them, right? But I must say that Bioware, this time, have carved out an interesting selection at least (imo). I am sure I could enjoy it.
However there is one thing that has bothered me above all else about rpg exclusives, and that is that they are never integrated with the rest of the game-world. They are simply handed to you the minute you start, often extremely flashy and over powered, which makes them feel really fake and undeserved. Why is that? Why can't they let us savor the treat a little? Wouldn't it be better if we actually had to find these special mounts, objects or whatever in the actual world we are exploring anyway? Like the bog unicorn for example, should be found in an actually bog in the middle of nowhere (maybe even while letting you uncover some clues about its past), rather than simply picking him up at the stables with a description card attached... Red hart on the other hand should be discoverable inside the deepest woods. I think this would be a much more rewarding approach, almost even worth the extra $10. It would be more fun, feel less like cheating, and would give the items stronger meaning.
If any these special items are in fact already integrated in such a manner (or equivalent), then I apologies. If so I would very much need to be made aware of it asap, so that I can hurry up an secure myself a deluxe edition
Otherwise I think I'll just go with standard.
