Because they don't have character arcs that span past one movie.

They could release a movie every year with these "untold stories"

No, It takes time to create a new and genuine plot that fits the concept, They won't just throw it for more profits. It's the same case with Monsters University. I don't get it why the fans don't like it, It was bloody brilliant.

No way could Incredibles 2 be any good...

I think the only reason an Incredibles 2 wouldn't be good is because it just couldn't live up to the hype.

----

I really just wish they left Toy Story as it is. They did a really great thing with Toy Story 3 and I'd hate to see them undo it all in the name of milking the franchise.

Unless the reviews are really good I doubt I'll go to see it. As far as I'm concerned Toy Story 3 was the perfect ending, and we don't get a lot of those these days.

Welcome to the real world where every successful movie/animation has sh*tload of sequels and prequels:

Nth Batman, Nth X-Men, Die Hard 5, Star Wars VII, Star Trek XII, Ice Age 4, Shrek 5 & 6, Barbie 28?! etc.
