I posted this originally in the Keep forum, but on second thoughts I wonder if this might be the better place for it.
I was just putting in my decisions from DA2, and I came across what I thought must be an error - it would not allow me to say that Aveline abandoned the party as well as Fenris being killed in the endgame.
I was sure that this is what happened, but further research online only yielded a bunch of places saying that this IS impossible, and Aveline will not abandon the party if you don't still have Fenris.
Except this DID happen in my game. It wasn't long ago I finished this playthrough, and I have the game open on my 360 right now staring at my post-game party-select screen with both of them missing. I was rivals with both of them, I sided with the mages, and they both refused to help. When I went into the Gallows, I encountered Aveline who said she wouldn't fight me, but she threw her sword down and left forever. Then later (I think after the Orsino battle, on the way out to Meredith?) I encountered Fenris who was being all snarky, and I ended up killing him in a battle. Ergo, no Aveline, no Fenris.
So surely I can't be the only one whose game went this way, but yet both the Keep and most websites I find say that this cannot happen. Anybody else?
