I decided to create a new topic about this to make sure everyone sees it.

As some of you might already noticed, if you ordered the Deluxe Edition of Inquisition it shows you the information of when you'll be able to preload the game as well as play it, while the people who ordered the Standard Edition only have "Coming Soon!".

I asked Origin why that is and they said that Digital Deluxe gets to preload first while Standard MIGHT be able to preload 24-48 hours before the release. They specifically said that we may or may not be able to preload it, but if we do, we will receive an email before the date/hour of preload informing us of it.

If true, this might be a new low, even for EA

The way I see it, it could be kind of a good thing - less load on the preload servers.  The people who paid extra get to pre-load first, yes, but that'll be when the servers are hit the hardest so the download will probably be slow.

or it could be just a way of spreading out the load on the servers.   Doesn't mean there is anything nefarious behind it.

It's just some pre-launch bugginess. Things should be fine in a week.

EA already trying to screw us, for god sakes stop trying to ruin good games EA...

Bioware, this is probably going to be the smartest thing you heard all day, ditch EA and get a new publisher, like Bethesda or Square Enix, who knows you might actually make your fans a lot happier and make more money in the long run.

I checked today, and it finally shows the preload date. I have the standard edition preordered. My preload date is the 14th.

Oh please. Don't even try to justify a company not letting people pre-load a game unless you preordered the super ultra deluxe fancy pants edition. That's completely asinine and thankfully not what EA's doing.

But let's not even give them the idea that it would be ok, lest they end up doing it down the road.

Not that anyone will pay any attention to this and pass up the opportunity to curse BioWare.

I just hope green man gaming gets their keys out in time to pre load... If not then I guess that's the price you pay for getting a discount on the preorder..

Spreading out the load makes sense. If everyone still gets to preload, who cares if some people get to do it first?

Well, maybe depends on the regions or the origin guy took way more booze and forgot to put the dates on every region. Here is mine, I am on latin america (I buy on origin mexico) and have the standard edition preordered.

That is BS.

So you have to pay extra to preload, that would ****** me off to no end.

Really? So the people that pay extra get to go first even though we all preordered. Let me guess you have the digital deluxe on preorder. If you do REALLY REALLY STFU! Because that would be the most idiotic hypocrisy I've seen given that you are not affected.

Need EA Access to play the demo as well. So they are basically charging for a demo.

Actually, seems like some ppl that purchased the standart version are starting to receive the preload date (saw someone who got day 14 or 15 for it lol ).

Still not my case, though. (Standart aswell)  (Being ancious here >_> )
