The point is the ability to preload at all, I can preload 2 hours before release because my internet is that fast.

Thats pretty fast. On/In my case, its like 3 or 5 hours, so, having preloads helps alot. (Yup, still "Coming Soon" here aswell. And 4 ~ 5 days left for some ppl at certain regions to start preloading (Where im living, its supposited to be on 14th aswell, if i had the preload date) )

I think you will be able to preload regardless. Just try it out on the 14th.

Well, preload doesn't really matter to me, since I'm getting my Standard Physical Edition (because of taxes and euro exchange rate and stuff) on 21st. Also, I'm taking my drivers license test on 20th (anxiety level rising) , something to keep my mind off of DAI.....

Op said that preload might not happen at all for standard edition.

There is also NO reason to have some be able to preload before others. We all paid for the game, didn't steal it. Treat us as customer not as second class because we we realized we are not going to be nickel and dimed and pay $10 extra (20% more) for some in game items. OOO a new armor, 1 out of 150 in game, a shiny throne or a new mount.

The point is the ability to preload at all, I can preload 2 hours before release because my internet is that fast.

In my Origin is just "coming soon". Part of the reason to PREorder is so you can PREload, it's the PRErogative I expect for giving them a sale upfront.

If it wasn't listed as a benefit of pre-ordering, it is unreasonable to expect it.

But by the time I commented in the thread, it had been established that regular pre-orders could preload, so the only reason for somplaint at that point was the timing, and that's no reason at all.  That was my point.

I see the benefit of pre-loading.  But I also have no objection to people being able to get extra privileges by paying for them.  That's how commerce works.

yeah the EA bashing never gets old...

so if it's a great game, Bioware did it, if it sucks..it's EA's fault.

Bioware IS EA. EA own 100% of Bioware.

on topic: i would say spreading the load would make sense , doesn't matter if you preload 4 days or 1 day before release.

EA's the publisher, plus it's responsible for Origin, which is causing this mess.

As for preloading, not everyone has luxurious internet, I need a day if not more to load the game.

I'll need 4-5 days to download the game, even if preload starts two days before the game is released I can't play

Thank the maker, there is still hope

Living that far away from cities has benefits, but if you're into games it also has some huge disadvantages :)

I just checked mine as well, no preload date.

Ya know, I really wish they would have advertised the preload as a deluxe edition benefit, instead of you know, just ignoring this. I probably would have shelled out the extra 10 bucks, but nooope, sorry EA.

I think you guys might like this. It says nothing about pre load, but it does say when you can start playing the game in your region.

This is exactly what's so frustrating about this whole thing. You want to make the preload a deluxe-only "feature"? That's pretty s**tty, but alright, whatever. At the very least have the courtesy to tell the rest of your paying customers about your plan.

And, no, I would not have shelled out a single extra cent for the ability to preload the game.

Hmm I hope the PC physical copy's disks actually have the game on them otherwise If I have to download the game I'm screwed, I have High Speed Dial Up if I can keep a stable connection and the game being 40 gigs it could well be 2 weeks before I get to play the game. Sigh!!

I'm from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Bought the standard edition and the dates just kicked in: "Pré-carregar 14 de novembro de 2014 15:00 - Disponível 18 de novembro de 2014 3:00"

Also, the previous link has been updated, it now is:
