I am getting DAI for PC and PS4.

PS4 so I can play with my dear friends and co-workers

PC because I want 4K all over my face monitor

This, except switch PS4 with Xbone.

I'm playing it on PS4.

If I had a sweet PC hook-up (I only have a macbook air I use for work -- that's it), I'd play it on that, instead.

If your PC can handle it, I'd say the choice is obvious.

Thanks for the replies, I'm gonna just get it on PC I think.  The last game I tried to play on PC was wildstar and it scared me off of PC games quite a bit.  It was really laggy especially in towns.  I haven't really touched any bioware games on PC since neverwinter so I wasn't sure how their doing at optimization.  Thanks all

Don't judge PC's by that game whatever you do. Apart from being an ordinary game it was very very poorly optimized from the start, despite the developers claims that it was just a minor hiccup, and PC's outshine consoles by far.

The issues you had with Wildstar would have been far far worse if you could have played it on console.

Bioware knows how to optimize their pc games....they are not ubisoft or whoever made the evil within

There are a lot of really poorly optimised games coming out at the moment with absurdly inflated spec requirements relative to actual performance. DAI looks like it has been well optimised based on its spec requirements.

Has dragon age games been well optimized for PC in the past?  I'm really not sure if I should get DA:I for ps4 or PC.  My PC set up is an i5 4670k, MSI GTX 770, 16GB corsair RAM, I dont have an SSD.  Thats the basics of my rig, my monitor is 1080p and so is my TV.  Do you think I'll see much of a graphical difference?
Also for multiplayer which platform of the two is most likely to have people on it?

Don't worry OP, I'm kinda in a similar place. I just paid $600 in componeNts to upgrade PC, unopened boxes and still deciding if I should get on PS4 or PC since in every console generation I buy less than 10 games and many of the games I could get on PC as well. $430 for PS4 or the $600 + for the PC...yep, the PC makes the most sense

Really? PC of course. My goodness why do these threads keep popping up? There's no comparison. If you have a PC that can run DAI, get it for PC.

Well I happen to be a owner of both gaming PC and PS4 and let me tell you what I think

PC pros

-Higher graphical quality and 60fps

-Possibility of mods???

-The game costs less than console version

PC cons

-You have to own a good PC...if you don't have one you are better off on console

-Mouse and Keyboard (this is personal though)

PS4 Pros

-You don't have any type of problem, put the disc and play

-You don't require any additional upgrade

-Controller (same as before it's a matter of personal taste).

PS4 Cons

-The game costs more than PC

-Inferior graphical quality and 30 fps

One additional thing to consider (the most important IMO) is where the majority of your friends are going to play the game.

Personally i'm going with PS4 this time (I played all BW games on PC before)

Hope it helps

PC of course. With your specs you can max it out fully. It will look better. If you prefer to play with gamepad, no problem just get a 360/x1 PC gamepad version.

How's that a negative when you can play it with a controller on the PC, as well?

My work laptop is also a Macbook Air. That thing almost lifts on when I play something simple like Civ 5 on it.

I have a 560Ti card boxed away, recently  upgraded that to Sapphire  R9 280x Dual X OC  3GB card from ebay  and still under warranty, cheap as well (almost half price).

PC is the  way to go,you have upgrade options down the road  hardware wise, games are normally cheaper on PC as well over console version.

Oh I hate these types of threads.

I have been playing on consoles my entire life starting on Atari. Games are games!

I am getting the game on PS4 and I am content with that. There are a lot of PS games that are not on PC that look stunning and play great. Now I am sure that a lot of users on here might be PC owners but you don't need to sound so high and righteous and make people who don't play on a pc feel like shite.

Some Playstation games

God of War series

Heavy Rain

Beyond Two Souls

Uncharted Series

Metal Gear Solid 4 Guns of the Patriot

Demon Souls

The Last of Us

Journey

Killzone

Resistance

Little Big Planet

Ratchet and Clank

Infamous

Folklore

Heavenly Sword

So the whole Master Race doesn't fly with me. It just surprises me that we got Xbox against Playstation or Playstation against Xbox wars but to top that we have to include PC master race to the whole war? Just play the game on what makes you feel content.

Good day ;)

I think you are taking it too personal,he did ask PS4 or PC ;),btw there are games exclusive to PC only so works both ways and probably more free games on PC as well hehe if I wanted to rub salt in ;) .

I know PC has exclusives but to just assume having a PC is soo much better sounds ridiculous.

It's all relative,PC strengths is its upgrade ability  but you have to pay for it,PS4 you get a plug and play gaming console and easier to use(not saying PC is hard to use however) .

End of the day market out there for both.

When looking at a single game that is well-optimized for all of the platforms it's on, having a PC is better.

That's why when the guy asks "PC or PS4 for this game?" and then goes on to tell us that he has a pretty sweet PC, it's a no-brainer. If you choose to take it personally, that's your business.

Does anyone know if Dragon Age Inquisition on PC has controller support? Correct me if I am wrong but I don't remember the previous games allowing you to use a controller on PC and it would seem going by early review impressions that Inquisition was made more with a controller in mind.

Nearly all of the video footage released by Bioware in the earlier expos was done on a PC using a controller, so yes, its supported.

OMG thank you. These threads are so pointless. If you have a PC that can run the game, get the PC version. Simple as that. You don't need to be a genius to figure it out.
