Anyone know if the Dracolisk mount is only available through the guide preorder.  Or will it be available in game to find?

No word on whether the particular dracolisk that comes with the guide is available in game otherwise, as far as I know. Dracolisk is a category of mount, though, so without the guide you should still be able to find other species even if you can't get that specific one pictured.

 

ETA: I don't think it's a preorder bonus for the guide. It should come with any new copy. (Used copies are presumed to have had their DLC codes already redeemed.)

The mounts are cool and all.

 

My biggest issue is that when you're on your mount your party members are not, does that also mean you won't be hearing the random 'party banter' if you ride around on your mount? If that is the case I will very very seldom use mounts, only when trying to get back to the previous area after I HAD to return back to camp for more potions.

So other than that it will be on foot for me and fast travel.

That's correct: you won't be able to hear party banter. (Although invisible banter would be awesome.)

 

I'll probably avoid too much riding precisely for that reason as well.

How do you get the mounts in Haven? I've just got my first horse, but I can't get my collector's mounts (yes, the cod's redeemed). I tried going back to the house where I got my Dragon armour and Weapons, but no prompts appeared? Do I have to wait until later to get them?

Epic small DLC Not sure how you'd implement it but sign me up for that. Maybe low flying mount? Dragon's child that it gives you to care for, you have to hatch it etc, or you just kill the dragon and steal it then find a way to hatch it.

Magically alter it for colors (same model 3 different colors), or just let it hatch naturally. 

 

I can't comment on more conventional mounts as I don't have them all yet.

Obviously you have various breeds of horses you could work with, do elephants or camels exist in lore?

A mount which your companions share would be a nice animation. Something to seat all four of you. I'd do it 2 abreast with 2 behind.
