It's bond to happen either way since many nobles weren't too please with Celene. Gaspard happens to be the man who's leading rebellion against her.
And if Gaspard hadn't done that, he wouldn't have to die.

Hail the rightful empr....oh wait....that is the player determine decision. I suppose down with the false Empress in every of my play-through. ![]()
Can someone give me a quick rundown of how to put Gaspard in charge? I did something very wrong and I was only given the choice to back Celene.

The only way to put Gaspard in charge...is to allow Celene assassination to happen. You can let her die, and foil Cory's plan since he just wants to remove any ruling figure, and the current ruler of Orlais, but you solve that by putting the new ruler in charge. Got to love how the Inquisition works in the shadow. ![]()
you can apparently, according to the game guide.
Where is the game guide?
Please tell me if there is a video with Inqusitor speech about Emperor Gaspard?
If only I could break into DAi resources and rmove his mask.
I finished reading TME yesterday and I must say that I really liked Gaspard in the end. I felt like he was being written just like generic villain in the beginning but in the last 100 pages he was pretty much my fav. I liked Briala and Felassan as well but not really others in the book. I'm not exactly Gaspard lover yet, I think he has many bad sides too but I think he's someone you can respect and at least trust. I hope to see him in DAI (still haven't played) and how he is there. Maybe he could be ally with my quizzy, that'd be good.

His age.
Guys we have the opportinity to see our god without mask. Please can someone use this tool

and show us Gaspard's screenshot? Or at least send me the resources and I will try myself.
I love this guy too. He is always my choice for the throne with or without Briala. I don't like Celene, she isn't even fit to polish Anora's shoes and I don't like Anora very much. I do worry about Ferelden with him on the throne though.

Oh, you can always change that even when Gaspard is sole ruler of Orlais. ![]()
Oh, you can always change that even when Gaspard is sole ruler of Orlais.
You're character doesn't know that at the time. Would you still support him if peace wasn't an option and he always invaded Ferelden

If you are referring to the war table mission of peace talks I still wonder if that will last, but I guess we will find out one way or the other. I just can't put that total flake Celene back on the throne. She seems like the worst thing for Orlais. I am hoping Gaspard smacks some sense into the country.
Wow. Gaspard is hot. Like, actually pretty hot both aesthetically and personality-wise
I mean, I always prefered him over Celene but I never really liked the guy. Just respected him. Now, the choice is pretty easy in my case
Here is a question: do you think the keep will take into consideration the war table peace treaty mission?
I think ME did a better job at representing his character: In game, he wasn't as clever as he seemed in the book. I mean... Maybe I'm not seeing it, which is totally possible... But what was his plan? He smuggled men in, mercenaries even... For what? Was he planning to start a skirmish inside the Winter Palace?! What use are soldiers at a ball? He should have brought in bards and assassins, and nobles that supported his cause. I'd like to know: Why would people support a man with no talent for politics, a thirst for violence and war, and a callous disregard for how much his own country will suffer in his bid for the throne? Celene encourages equality for the elves, education in the University, culture with the theatre and plays the game like a master. Slowly, Orlais was becoming even greater. Who could argue with that?
That said, I like his huge ears, and how his sister shares that family look. Nice little touch there.

I think so. It is significant enough to affect the epilogue, after all.

Almost every noble human? lol

Its a goddamm 18 hour mission, I'm gonna be pissed if they don't ![]()

No kidding.
Right equality for elves. She voluntarily purges the alienge to keep the nobles happy, she also has no qualms about Knights and Nobles hunting elves in the alienge for sport. Oh what a wonderful person, I just can't fathom why I wouldn't pick her.
I am still trying to figure out if briala/gaspard or briala/celene is better for the elves for my pro-elf inquistor.
No kidding.

I wouldn't be so bitter about her if she wasn't so delusional lying to even herself. At least Gaspard is honest about being an ass - he knows he is an ass, he doesn't hide it
Her attempt to justify every mistake she makes and make herself look like an innocent saint is... well, just childish. You messed up, Celen, just admit it and try to be better and don't put all the blame on everyone else
