So wait you can keep him from not invading Ferelden??
Yes you can convince him to change his mind.

Here you go.
This is the ending if Gaspard rules alone. I was looking for the slide were everyone is forced to work together.

Awwwwww damn. Well next playthrough this is a thing. I prefer Gaspard as well but never made him rule because of the slides. Thanks!
I addet it into main post.
Does anyone have an link to the video of the epilogue slide were you convince an truce? I was contemplating it, but if Celene comes on top at the end, then I think I will just have Gaspard ruling alone instead.
Here is version where they all "work" together for me it is fine.

It's fine if you're Orlais hater.
If you have no problem with Orlais tearing itself apart and these three wage war of intrigue in the shadow, the civil war never truly resolved when you force them to work together.

Sorry, by a truce I thought you mean between Orlais and Ferelden. Well to answer your question Celene always come out on top at the end even when you force them to work together, and the only way for Gaspar or Briala to come out on top mean Celene must die.

That's actually fine by me. After what Orlais has done to Ferelden, Nevarra, the Anderfels, the Free marchers, etc, seeing the mighty empire destroying itself from inside out is quite amusing to watch. I suppose that will be my ending. three way truce, grey wardens rebuild, Leliana becomes the divine and mages start their own circle. Morrigan was right after all. Change did come for the world.

.
To be honest im not a big fan of orlais i held low opinion about them before dai after my opinion was even lower pretty much nothing but corruption and incompetence (throwing parties when world is about being destroyed) it only wonders how the heck they become strongest country in thedas cus i have hard time in beliving that.
What I like about Gaspard is he is the only one who will focus on Tevinter.

which means that as we are headed north, more likely for Gaspard to show up then say Celene, IMO anyways.
Something that I really don't like in the Orlais plot and which I consider as a failure of the game, it's how we have no reasons to support Gaspard if we haven't read the book. It just hit me hard how I had no reasons to support Gaspard in the game, without metagaming everything I knew about how awesome Gaspard is and how Celene messed up.
- We don't learn much about the civil war and even about the characters, we miss many things. They seem a bit bland compared to what they were in the book.
- Gaspard wants to invade other countries, which as someone who cares about unity against chaos, I don't like, and we are forced to kill a woman " who looks honestly sympathetic in the game while talking, " ( if we didn't read the book ) to have him, Some lines telling us that Celene is not ' as innocent ' as it seems to be isn't enough to remove this feeling, it is to be expected that emperors and kings are never totally innocents.
- We don't learn much about the game and its dark sides, only cheesy things, which doesn't necessarily appear harmful to Orlais, for the casual gamer. So the argument " I want to erase the Game " isn't necessaily something that could strike the minds.
- We have also to threat Briala, otherwise we fail. That's quite a lot.
Honestly, I read the books, so no way I choose Celene, but I admit that if I didn't read the books, I would probably have never chosen Gaspard. Because his main argument is " I am the legitimate emperor thanks to my family " which I find a bit weak to disturb stability.
For me, my Inquisitor trust her inner circle and values her companions input(does not mean she'll bow to them but she likes their opinions). Even Josie while supporting Celene never truly diminishes Gaspard. Cass and Cullen paint a good reason to support him imo. Of course I've read the book so I know Gaspard and Celene(I thought I knew Briala but she turns into a power hungry fool using elves as tool) so I don't see the issue with your last point, in fact I had Gaspard order her execution, with the amount of dirt we have on Briala, the elves do nothing, hopefully they'll have a real champion someday, not a power hungry political who lost her way, they deserve better.
Also Gaspard is just too bro NOT to go with /fell for his charms, not afraid to admit
I really don't know whether I should make Gaspard my canon choice for ruler. I like him most out of the options, but I can't think of an in-game reason to support him.

If you bring Cassandra to the ball, she gives an pretty resonable reason to support Gaspard over Celene.
After playing DAI, I'm disappointed that he, Celene and Briala were only used for one mission and just tossed aside after.
I was really hoping the Orlesian civil war would be more developed like the Fereldan one in DAO. Oh well, at least he appeared in the game.

With TME, I had a feeling this would be one big quest in-game.

Indeed, it could have been better. Also when you put it that way. I'm glad that BioWare didn't shove pro-Celene route to our throat, and we actually get to choose who to support and side with.
Support Gaspard.
The False Empress is finally dead. Long Live the Emperor!
Support Gaspard.
I don't get why Cole disapproves, as far as I know, he has no reason to care about politics. It would make more sense for him to stay neutral.

That treacherous old hag is finally dead. Long Live the Emperor!
I like how he deal with Morrigan. He:
1 - Chased her out of palace (as Celene's former support)
2- Give Inquisition help against Corypheys
3- And the cherry on a cake- she is happy about it. She can't even see why he call her out, fool woman.
He is really that dangerous, I don't want him as enemy.

agreed. What they could have done was at least tie in the Emerald Graves and Exalted plains and a much expanded Val Royaux for the Orlais line. we should have had more scenes of the politics and how dangerous it could be before we went to the ball.

Stop write what doesn't happen in the game. Gaspard is Orlesian Tywin- the best option if he rules alone.
